I did both hikes, from hidroeléctrica to the village and from the village to machu picchu, definetly woth it, don't take the train neither the bus, the hikes are pretty easy and the views and the experience are totally worth it.

Wait sorry, starting from Cusco or Ollayntatambo?
Just went Dec 6 2019. Got a round trip train ticket from Ollantaytambo for $68usd. Went up to MP in the afternoon on a 2pm ticket. No queue for bus back and forth $24usd. Hardly any people there. Decent room in Aguas Calientes for $20usd. Go in the off season.

Trippin Out when is the off season.? Is january- february off season? We are planning to go there next year
Just wanted to add, you can also walk from Hidroelectrica to Aguas Calientes and don't have to pay for any train. Also we just took the Bus up to MP and not down. Because going down is really easy and saves you money. Nice Video Alex
I was there 25 years ago. The train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes was 50 cents if memory serves, and the entrance to M.P. was $10-12, and that was double the locals price. Seems like the Peruanos are really getting the tourists to drop their trousers and bend over.

Not even the Peruvians. MacchuPicchu is unfortunately run by a Chilean company ( Chile) Very sad but true!
Hi Alex, you introduced yourself to my friend, my wife, and me while we were finishing up getting ready to ride motorcycles to macchu picchu. We were in Cusco and you were curious about how much our rental Honda tornados were. Did you ever take 109 up from mollepata on your bike? We were on a time requirement or else we would of looked into it more. From talking to locals, they acted like it wasn’t a real road. Also were you able to ride into aguas calientes? It looked pretty locked down but didn’t know if you found a way. In regards to this video we spent 90 usd on three days of motorcycle rentals which is an awesome way to get there. You can park securely at hydroelectric for 3.50 a night.
your words at 5:40 is what makes me love your video's so much alex... your absolutely bang on when say what you say.. I'm just totally inspired by you and i'am trying to follow your advice.. thanks for this amazing video
You can get to Aguas Calientes from Cusco for literally 15 soles if you want. You walk from KM 82 to AC, takes about 8 hours but that’s the real cheapest way to do it
Great video & sound advice as always Alex. You challenge us to live our dreams. Safe travels mate 👍
Exactly. Travel young.

too late! for MP but I obeyed for India ...... wise advice
U r right, it's hard to make decisions, to pass the Barrier: whether to go for your dream place or not. But at the end, we never regret it.
8.19 - 8.22 is bliss , thank you dear Chacon
I backpack from Argentina to Cusco. From Cusco i took a ban to Ollantaytambo $10 soles. 2 days later took another ban to Hidroelectrica $10 soles. Send my backpack to Aguas calientes in the train for $7 soles. And walk for 4 hours its a really beautiful trek. The entry to Machupichu ruins and Machupichu mountain cost me $600 soles. I trek to the ruins from 4am to 7am. It was amazing going up the mountain will the sun came up.
Love the video, what sort of time of the day your were there as it looks so sunny and clear . AMAZING 👏🏻
Where did you get the $95 tour where exactly do you meet for access to tour car?
I just visited for my second time man and it was just as incredible as the first! Great vid man

What do you suggest for best value for money or budget ?
I'd probably wing it to Aguas Calientes then hike up; you can start whenever you like, and not pay the bus fare (or wait in line). Also you get to see extra scenery and some more ruins, so unless you're coming back, best to do it all!!
Alex nice video coverage of Machu Picchu.

thanks for watching!
It only takes about 2hours to hike up to Machu from Aqua Calliente. My tour set off at about 4am to catch the sunrise. Pretty tough - but plenty of time to rest and enjoy the view once you get there. I got an unofficial Inca Trail (Inca Trek). About $300 - mountain biking, 2 days trekking, zip line option (amazing), 1 day on Machu and train back to Cusco. If you spot this tour - go for it.
Awesome video!! Thanks for sharing!
Hermoso video
This is my #1 dash list(bucket list) item! For 25 years I have been wanting to go!
That was an amazing place..
Definitely going there one day, the disorganised transportation looked funny..but as he said part of an adventure!
Incredible
You are awesome . Thanks for posting the video You are right life is short . You’ve gotta make it
I only see Indian subscribers ! You have got lot of love from India.
I Love your videos....! Eager to watch as soon as you post it...!!!
Keep amazing and motivate us
Thanks a lot for the tour and the wonderful information and ur thought u shared thanks awesome places
hey im going to Peru in a couple of weeks what tour did you do for that price ? thanks love the video and the advice!
you have one of the most engaging travel videos. you hit a balance between music, raw vlogs, drone shots, trivia very nicely. the awesomeness is strongly felt vicariously. A lot of others lose something in the translation and it feels material, makes us very aware that it is his/her carefully edited footage we are seeing. Not with you.

Amazing!!
I did the Salkantay trail last year instead of the Inca trail as it was quieter.
Great video, lots of information .
I like your english, you have a very good diction.
We just visited and made a beautiful video of Machu Picchu

Bit tricky if it's your first time there... But you can def do it... Sleep at the closest city (santa Teresa), wake up early, go to the hidroelétrica (closest you can get to machu picchu with any transportation other than train) with the motorcycle (would recommend arriving there by 3am, bring a head torch) then it's 2,5h walk to the mountain base and another 1,5h to get up to machu picchu, if you prefer, instead of going up walking, you can walk another half an hour from the mountain base to the city of "aguas calientes" and get the bus there (USD 16 each way, I would recommend get it the way up as its much easier to go down walking and you can get the view anyways).... When you get tired of walking around machu picchu just go all the way back to the hidroelétrica and get your bike again 😊

That's a lot of overwhelming info!
great advice - awesome video - thanks for sharing Alex
Kool as always
A true message at 5:50 . Thanks Alex Every video is truly a beauty in itself like the place you take us to . Love from India
Is machu pichu popular because it’s popular? Or is it really worth the hassle?
Amazing place...😍😍...
Awesome bro
Super informative. Thanks! Booking my tickets tonight.
Nicely done
too much inspiring words :) thanks
Helpful information... awesome shots ...
Is the bus stop to machu picchu itself or do u still have to hike ? Cos as what i have read you still have to hike 2 hours to get to machu picchu mountain. But all the videos i have seen didnt mention anything about going on foot after taking off the bus from Aguas Calientes. Pls reply cos we are plaaning to go there on jan- feb next year
Alex as always thank you for ride with you👍
Can you post the link of where to buy tickets online for Machu Picchu? I looked online and there's so many! please!
Great man
How long you walking around the Machu Picchu until you back to the bus? Is the time limited or we can just walking as long as we need and get another bus to train station? Hi from Indonesia
Te amo peru.
Love nice 👌👌
❤❤❤
Can you get there by motorcycle??
One thing I haven't heard was how long does the line ususlly take on average if you dont arrive at 5am to take the bus up to Machu pichu
So if your entrance was at 12pm at what time did you take the bus to MP from Agua Caliente and was the line as big as in the morning at 6am? Aslo, I have heard that it is much better to go into MP after 12pm since there will be less people and I can see that i guess from your footage at 5:50 , that is a great shot.
This was great, and thanks for keeping this family friendly (not vulgar or perverted)!
Thanks dear for sharing info -- Great
What time of year was this? What month?
Cool video. I traveled when I was young and I still travel now that I'm "old". The world is a great big place, and if we're fortunate enough to go from young to "old" while seeing it, we still won't have seen everything - but we can try. One Love ❤
Anyone know what month he went?
nice video from cusco
Hii bro please tell us how you transfer your bike 1 country to another country, please tell me,I am ur biggest fan
Hello bro, I am from India and I want to travel the world.... I really want to travel the world.... But I have no money to spend by traveling...... Please can you help me....I want to travel Asia first by bicycling.......please help me get idea to travel and earn while traveling.....please
Loved the video bro. Has anyone hiked up the Inca trail?
Mass tourism is ruining the experience of these archeological sites. Prices are insanely high, especially for South America. Fortunately, there are many other less visited and beautiful archeological sites.
When is the best time of year to visit Machu Picchu?
Hi, what month did you go? Was it really cold or its bearable cold? when you bought all these tickets, was it online or you bought them on the spot? Do they also take credit cards or cash? Thank you. Hope i can travel here in the near future too.🤗😊
You need to amend your video. New rules when visiting Machu Picchu such as No food, you have to have a tour guide and you have a time limit now, I believe it's 2.5 hrs.
How much did the hotel cost you in Aguascalientes?!
Hey alex love you man seriously loved your video's ❤️love from India
Love from India.....
So many people have a hard time going as they have commitments to life and family. Please remember that you sold everything off and in turn are paid to travel. Others don’t have that option. Many people who even try fail as they can’t get what you have gotten. I am sure you had quite a few challenges over the years

I don’t actually get paid to travel mate , I produce digital content , photography and videos , and provide a service , most trips come out of my own pocket like this one
Can't you go riding by yourself to Santa Teresa?

Where it is ?
30 $ ...but thats a year salary in china!
I thought by 2017, food and drinks are not allowed in the park anymore... :)
I'm so happy to have watched this video to know that it's not worth it for me. Too much waiting in line. Too much confusion, and days of misery for a few hours of adventure.
What about the bike?
ridiculous high prices for such a poor country with a weak currency! I took a coach bus from Rio de Janeiro to another state 12 hours away by bus for 25 dollars in Brazil, in Peru transportation should be even cheaper, 300 dollars lmao.
OMG this is very expensive! I didn't know Peru is that expensive. Any real reason for the prices? It's just a train n buy ride!
You could have been the sexiest doctor alive. Now probably blogger 😂😂
