I had to put up a shade in my backyard and happened to run across your video. I am so glad I did. I was trying to figure out how to attach the third ring of the triangular shade. It’s a great idea but I wish you showed more of the sail than the pond so I could plan it out.

Times have changed. The same PVC pipe is now $12.78. The cost per post for us was an average of $25. We couldn't find the original screws in the video and had to buy 2 packs of the #10 zinc bolt combo to stay true to specs.

so freaking cool. I was looking for portable kinds of poles to make a chicken run, using deer netting, to position on the front of my aframe chicken tractor. I have to protect them from hawks, but I move their coop around every couple weeks. This is brilliant, it looks so sturdy. Thank u!❤

Cool, but doesn't the pvc pipe bend with the tension of the sail ties? I would suspect it would if you had all 4 pvc pipes, but since you have stronger support for the other three sides? Just curious

Yeah it depends on your soil I have a real thick clay type soil so mine hold really nice you can pound that stake is deeper too🤙🏽💯💪🏽

You are too cool, thanks very much cute coi, so thanks now Ive got some ideas, eyebolts and plastic pipe, one of those stakes, or two, carabina clips, oh and a jam cam, was just trying to work out how to get a shade cloth up or down as needed, and so a woman can do it herself because the guy hasnt got a clue or any interest in this stuff. :) Im a bit worried I might do it badly, but one of us has to move it forward. Looks like a 4" diam pipe.?

U can use what ever size pipe I used a 1” pvc you really can’t mess it up I made to where it’s so easy to do!! So simple and extremely cheap to do!! There’s other ways to make it more sturdy like putting wooden dowels inside the pvc pipe so they don’t bend as much! 🤙🏽🤙🏽💯💯🤙🏽🤙🏽 I’m glad you liked this video

If you wanna prevent bending you can always drop a piece of wooden dowel down the pvc pipe and or you can get more Industrial thicker pvc pipe 🤙🏽💯🤙🏽

They were 18in and I pounded them in the ground about 8in deep Also if you wanna make the pvc polls stiff do it with a 1” pvc pipe and slide a 3/4” wooden dowel down the pvc pipe to make it stiff, I was gonna do that but was trying to keep it as cheap as possible 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

@@brolyventures oh no just place it inside the pvc pipe it will stop at the stake the pvc pipe is going to be stiff where the stake is also the pvc pipe is still gonna bend a little just not as much with the dowel in it 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Great Idea BUT! after installing 3 Pvc poles using your Video I found that Poles Bent very Badly when tension was applied to Sail and hardware. Purchase 3 Steel 8ft Studded T Post 1 1/4" Diameter (Menards $7.79 a piece)Drive T post into ground leaving 6or7ft above ground then slide 1 1/2" PVC over T Post you might have to use a twisting motion (Problem Solved)Poles are Strong and Ridgit ( No Bending)No! need to Anchor Pole. The Pvc and steel T Post bond together and there is no movement. Poles have held up well even in Storms and windy conditions. Forget about the stake Ideal they never held.Take down for winter storage is very Easy. Thanks for Video and Instead of buying Stakes buy the T post (They Work so much Better!)

Would only take a few minutes to give that PVC a few coats of spray paint and sealer too. I did that for an umbrella stand and it looked great!

I'm going to use this idea for two of the four corners on my shade sail on the edge of my concrete driveway while the other two corners are going to attach to the side of my mobile home to cover a section of my driveway. I wanted something quick and temporary to install while I'm home only since installing an aluminum carport is not financially feasible now. In Orlando Florida in the summertime there is no substitute for good shade!😩🥵

Nah you know how hard it is to snap a pvc pipe? And the winds here in Cali aren’t that bad, maybe in the Midwest but if you ever wanna make them stiff you can add a wooden dowel down the center of the pvc pipe to make it stiff and sturdy!!🤙🏽🎏🤙🏽

Warning, warning! Darlin, you say your a nature lover? Stop, think about what your doing? Fish keeper, love your video tutorials. But, darlin, you need to put a small piece of hose under the rope on your tree. The tree will grow over the rope and eventually do damage to the tree. Just a heads up from another nature lover. Oh, and by the way. I just bought the spillway on Amazon with my prime card for $14.99. For the pond I designed and just finshed digging. It's a figure eight pond with a sunburst footbridge, and the waterfall spillway is going to be a four tear level.The first will have a old mill with waterwheel turning. Second level old cottage with shutters and flowerboxes under the windows. I'm a creative Artist, come from a creative family and descents.
