The cheap one lacks any richness to the sound.

I agree with you that its not the instrument but how good the musiscian is to a certain extent. In my opinion through my experience, the pro tombones have less resistance to help the muscian have better intonation through the upper and lower registers. The King 3b in my opinion is the best all round pro horn. Its fun to play in all registers. I found that the cheaper trombones will get the job done but lack the quality of a name brand trombone. I think a better cimparision would be a cheap trombone vs a king student horn. I have found that a king student horn plays about the same as a king 3b.

The king has a metal sticker also. Makes no difference.

Man, you deserve a space journey on New Shepherd for making that trom-Bezos sound decent on KZread! I've been playing my Bach Strads for 40 years... I've tried one of those and... no no no! 😆

I have that same model of horn (Eastar ETB-330), got it in march 2020 for $120, its the only trombone I've ever played for extended periods of time, and I can honestly say I like it a lot, I think the mouthpiece and the player do make a difference because I use the default mouthpiece and its the instrument i learned with, unlike what was used for this video, but to me its a great beginner horn.

I have a king 606 and it is very good for the price and is basically like a cheap 2b and a Yamaha ysl-448g which is my concert trombone

I have a king 606 as well. Got it for $40 at a flea market. I love it it’s a very decent trombone

Not much of a gear head tbh lol. I've played on the same 6.5 al mouthpiece my whole life and it never let me down 😂 Love the content, you inspire me a lot as a trombone player ✊🏼

would love to know if the cheap horn you're playing is a Etude EtB 100 series?

I have this trombone but my slide is just not smooth I used slide oil slide creme. It nothing works can does anyone else have this problem if not do you have any advice to fix this

Question, for salsa, king 2b vs king 3b, whats for vote?

I mean, i understand instrument quality and material quality, but as a woodwind player I look at a trombone and think "they are both long metal tubes with a hole on each end...how much difference can there be?"

Sounds incredibly terrible. I played trombone for eight years and trust me that thing. Yeah you’re better off going for something better in quality. Spend a few extra hundred dollars and you can get a decent trombone.
