My personal issue with some of these is lubricity during contact cleaning. I've modified my procedure to add cleaning power and lubricity. I spray an iron remover like CarPro IronX or Gyeon Iron. Let it dwell while I scrub the tires. And then I use a foam cannon with Brake Buster (5:1 water to product) or Car Shampoo (10:1 water to product) over the iron fallout remover for that lubricity during the contact stage. Also, I believe that film left from Brake Buster is the rust inhibitor they claim they have. Interesting results! Unfortunately, I'm out on the Koch Chemie. Too expensive for me.

Where was this test before I purchased Brake Buster? LOL. I was glad to see that, no, you can't just spray on and rinse off to clean wheels. You still need to use your hands.

Another suggestion for the next video is to try the test on a non- electric vehicle since most EVs use regenerative braking via the motor, and ICE cars are harder on brakes. Just an idea. Great video!

I just washed my car yesterday and used P&S, and it didn't do anything I had to go in and agitat. If the cleaner isn't helping out, there's no reason to buy it now that I have seen the Koch Kemie. I'm going to try it out. Great video.

Great video. I like MWC myself, works great, and has fantastic lubricity. Price is the only thing for me. I have recently found a great substitute that is just as good and cheaper. NV Purge is excellent. Has the iron removing component, great lubrication and about 1/2 the cost.

You should see the rotor rust when you use Bowdens Own from Australia. On my older car it was fine, but the mustangs rotors look like something from the 1960’s left out in the rain since then - honestly 50% rusty and you can HEAR it for the first few brake applications. I just bought 3 different cleaners, including 2 you tested here and I will be interested to see how they perform on the Mustang in coming weeks.

Your coating effect results make sense. Alkaline chemicals are hard on coatings. Acids until they are extreme seem to be friendly to ceramic coatings. I only use pH neutral soap and Koch MWC or TurtleWax Rapid Decon which are both slightly acidic. The strong alkaline cleaners are only good for tires and dirt and grime, not brake dust.

Likely the rotor rust difference is from pad transfer from track use. You should try Autoglym Magma and Ammo Plum

Great video, but the rear wheels are usually far less dusty. Obviously super hard to get 4 identically dusty wheels. Makes the MWC look even better. Appreciate you doing the test without agitation because with agitation even soap is fine most of the time.
