Ive always loved adidas, from their pants to track jackets and now ive gained a random super interest in their new predators.The only pair i know is a size 8 from my dad when he played soccer with me when i was doing a youth league.

so true, this 2G/3G is a great solution! so they finally caught up with Puma who already offered the MG soleplate, which is great! I wonder if Nike is going to follow as well, because their AG studs are way too long for the AG pitches that I play on ... at least I can now choose between Puma and Adidas when buying boots

​@@unisport 2G 3G version was firstly lunched for Chinese market version. In China there is hardly any FG field or high quality AG field. Chinese amatual players usually select TF boots on very hard AG pitches and MG boots on slightly softer AG pitches to protect their knees. They shared their demands to ADIDAS NIKE and PUMA however ther was no proper solutions before. Then several Chinese local sneaker maker, Lining ,Karme designed very good TF and MG sole plates and getting more and more popular. ADIDAS then provided 2g 3g sole plate which successful balanced the performance and knee protection. It is a sole plate for amatual players so protective is much more important than performance, so it is heavier as other TF boots do. PUMA did provide MG sole plate but their AG is still too aggressive and TF ultimate version is not quite ultimate. NIKE doesnt provide an elite equivelent version on TF sole plate.

They look red in pretty much every picture of them, including Unisport's, and Adidas' own site, and the description of the boots colour is "Core Black / Cloud White / Solar Red". Pretty sure it only looks orange here because of the colour grading they've put on the video in editing.

@@Sskreechy They look red in literally every single picture, and on players during games, and this is the only thing I’ve seen where they look orange. The product description literally says the colour is red.

On the adidas Canada website I don’t see any ag options but on other sites I’ve seen turf and ag for the elites?

I think it's interesting that often with adidas the third tier option is suggested over the second tier. This is not the first time I've heard that; not with this lineup necessarily but with other adidas lineups.

Somehow the fit on the second tier boot is always the worst, especially if you have narrow feet or the heel is always loose or shallow.

How is the weight of the Pro compared to the Elite model? Is it noticeably heavier and chunkier? I've always been reluctant to get Adidas takedown models because of the large amount of extra weight they sometimes have. I'd like to get a new pair of boots but I don't have time to play anywhere near as much as I used to, so its hard to justify spending all that money on the Elite model unfortunately.

Yep, actually the weights are in the beginning of the video. Elite is 205g vs Pro 250g. It just feels an obvious lot heavier and more chunky really. /Jay

I’ve worn a UK10 in adidas forever. My Elite FT just arrived and they feel small, feel like I should’ve gone up half a size to accommodate my wide foot.

Imagine if only the pros came with a fold over tongue? Other football boot brands would've been out of business by now.

In Australia, the fold tongue($460) version is $110 AUD more then the laseless($350) & lased($340) version. WTF? In USA & Europe its $10 Euro & USD more. That sucks. Plus the upper on the white(base white pack) feels more cheap, plastic & sticky then the Red limited edition & black(solar Energy pack). What's happening there? Love the Videos Jay.

What i dont get is that, the AG version on Predator 18 was already good, very suitable on AG, why not continue using that soleplate for AG. And if they really want to use MG, why not use the soleplate on the Ace 15, that soleplate was like the perfect FG/AG soleplate. They already have a good technology, why not continue using them, instead trying to reinvent the wheel but end up the new wheel to be bad

The 18.1 and 19.1s had the perfect AG studs. There was no need to change it.

The 3g/4g sole is consistent across the categories of boots. I’d say it’s a step towards something good from Adidas but not as good as the Nike AG soles.

No foldover tongue on takedown models? Sorry adidas, you don't know what your customers want. Reintroduce new predator with nostalgic foldover tongue but then only reserve it for the highest tier boot. Of course.

because the friction from the ag would destroy the elastic, so they would spend all year replacing items under warranty.

@@robtapster6062 in the case of this they should just apply Velcro to the underside of the toungue similar to what Puma used to do with the older Kings or apply a metal button like on that of a jacket on it

70 grams heavier is nuts? Why can't they just copy what puma does with the mg. Plus the 4g studs being near the same length as the fg is just strange. great review tho as always.

Yeah it’s a big deal breaker for me with the weight and thickness of the plate. It’s a shame though as the studs have potential! I agree, doing what PUMA or Mizuno are doing would’ve been better! /Jay

Adidas predator 2024 making in Indonesia!!!!!!!!!

Adidas forgot the fold tongue in pro and league versions 😢

I bought the 2G/3G AG plate because even Nike AG felt unsafe but pred strike feels SO heavy and SO wide. I think 2G/3G is wider than other plates. I had been wearing tiempo AG which weighs 160g but this thing weighs 260! They are even heavier than my turf shoes!!! So far disappointing (also no shoe bag and heel cups!!🤦🏻‍♂️) but I only played with them for 3 hours. Need some time to break in.

@@machaazahisagama3575 depends on what youre looking for. I repurchased a half size down and played 11v11 for several hours on 2g/3g ag and tiempo 10 elite ag as well. Theyre definitely a fun pair to play with, but if youre looking for joint stress relief, then i wouldnt recommend 2g/3g. My joints hurt more after playing with 2g/3g ag plate compared to tiempo elite ag.

So if youre looking for boots which are leas rough on joints, then i wouldnt recommend 2g/3g ag plates.

@@machaazahisagama3575 adidas ag plates are horrible on turf fields. unless you're gonna get nike ag plates, just go with 2g/3g because they do feel more stable. after breaking in, i do like the 2g/3g plates but however i prefer nike timepo ag because the upper fits me better.

I've never understood why Adidas have been so bad, with a very few exceptions, with their takedown models through the years. Heavy, clunky and with a different fit to the top tier model.

Went to buy the FT in Australia, and they are $120 more expensive than the Elite version. This equates to roughly 70 Euros. Feel like Adidas are having a bit of a laugh and making a fool out of us down under

Oath, all the US and Euro reviews were saying the fold over tongue would set you back an extra $20usd or so, then I saw what we were actually getting charged in Aus and nearly had a heart attack.

Always pro in adidas are so ugly. The shape makes looks the boot so cheap 🤢, I prefer to buy the .3 instead the pro. But true is I just buy the elite 😅

I’m a big fan of Adidas football boots however I’m starting to dislike the concept of different variation of the same boot. Just make one great affordable boot and stop with the gimmick of slightly cutting off features of one boot from another. It annoying debating whether one boot is better than the other one. Does anyone else think the same?
