I've got an old classic which becomes exempt this April. I WILL NOT, however, be visiting any of these control zones to spend my money unless they pay me to. Stuff the lot of them.

I recently bought a Ford Fusion Diesel because it had low emissions and was only £30 to tax but is not compliant. . Some of the vehicles here, although compliant cost £130 - £220 to tax because of their emissions.. What's going on ??

Hi Ronnie, one of those irony's why the tax doesn't reflect what the government and councils want us to buy!

Different pollutants are measured for diesel and petrol engines. ULEZ doesn't take account of all those counted for road tax purposes.

Well thats 10 now we just need 199,000 more, oh and 46,000 of those will have to be vans. 58% of Londoners voted against ULEZ expansion, do we still live in a democracy?

Well thats 10 now we just need 199,000 more, oh and 46,000 of those will have to be vans. 58% of Londoners voted against ULEZ expansion, do we still live in a democracy?
