This is an easy economical transport dolly with big wheels that I am making to transport heavy items such as roof trusses, panels and doors, it was really easy to make and will last a good time if you look after them
Be careful using power tools

great video, but why not pull the threaded bar out to the right length so you only have to cut 1 side,+ the longer offcut is of more use
Reminds me of when we where kids we used to make go carts with old pram wheels,
That was lovely Robin, I have a pair of those wheels, I have been meaning to make one for sheet goods but I will make it wide like yours and add battens for each task.
Great idea and setup. I put MTB tyre sealant into wheelbarrow wheels and its great to seal up flats when working on rough terrain, seals punctures straight away. Thanks
Good to see someone using a push stick.
Excellent idea Robin! The simplest creations are always the best👍👍
Robin you are a man after my own heart, one of things I love about my/our work is not just creating the big stuff it using and working your brain to create and engineer things that are simple but effective to aide us to work smarter not harder and I never go anywhere without my two bibals ie screwfix & toolstation catalogues, I see people look at me when I get in one these creative zones, I see the look on the face and I know there thinking "come on don't make love to it let's just carry it ect " or what ever and I say the cheapest and most cost effective way to it is the right way many times has loss of half an hour saved me hours , you are like a conductor of an orchestra an I am loving the music I hear 😀😊😉❤💙
Great video Robin, thanks !!!
What a great idea, thanks very much.
Good drilling - when I need a drill hole though the centre of a piece of timber I mark both sides drill half way then drill through from the other side - the bit will always find the hole.
That was wheely good
Really good idea Robin, I love the fact you always wear your ear defenders.
This was a life saver! Me and my back are very grateful! 😂
Necessity is the mother of invention, so I nicked the wheels and shaft of the customers wheelie bin and knocked up an excellent little dolly for moving an rsj around the outside of a house. And yes the wheelie bin was as good as new when finished.
Lovely. Can’t wait to c those trusses rollin to their new home. I am sure u use come alongs to lift them. The scaffolding probably gifts u lift points to attach to.
Very nice
Btw, I like the saw action whilst cutting with the grinder
'Last you a lifetime'..................It doesn't look like this was the first time you've made one Robin 😀
I help my mate Dave who does a lot of timber frame and its no joke lifting those trusses, your so right for many reasons using some sort of transport.
Hello Robin,
