Ғылым және технология

This might be the best multimeter you can get for $15 or less!

6000 count, auto-ranging multimeter with backlight and large display, for $15 or even less? Yes please, I'll take one!
Quick look or mini-review of Richmeter 101. This multimeter has multiple different names, for example Zotek ZT101, Richmeter RM101 and Aneng AN8001.
SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR ANNOYING AUTO-FOCUS
This multimeter is based on same DTM0660L IC as the Uni-T UT139C, Victor VC921 and many other. I look forward to seeing that IC used in other cheap multimeters in the future.
My meter is Richmeter branded, but the manual is for ZT101. I think Richmeter changed the text above the display, but haven't yet had time to reprint the manuals.

Just received my RM102 and am amazed at its quality for the price, just over £10 from Tomtop. I would have preferred AA cells rather than AAA ones but it is forgivable in such a compact case.

Well considering I have done all my work with a free Harbor Freight Meter, I can only imagine this would be a step up! Have you watched EEVBlogs videos on the Harbor Freight Meters Hugarty?

I used to use meters similar to those that Harbor Freight is giving away. During the ten(ish) years I used them, they never caused a problem due to low quality, lack of protection or other things that are often criticized. And yes, this meter is a huge step up from those Harbor Freight's meters. Much more features for reasonably low price. Yeah, I've seen EEVBlog's videos on those Harbor Freight meters. It's funny to watch someone who has been used to using higher end stuff (and knows a lot about designs of those products), to review most lowest end products there is.

Just a question ! I received today ANENG AN8001. Some of the soldering joints were awfull (COM terminal NOT connected to both sides of pcb, also CURRENT SUND as well as FUSE TERMINALS). Did someone tried to replace the electrolytic capacitor 100μF/16V with a more descent "solid tandalum" or "solid aluminum"?

Buy the way looks like you can find almost the same device (meter), branded ANENG AN8002 (TRUE RMS) NOT BAD AT ALL for the price (£12.99)

Yeah, I'm aware that I mumble and I have an accent that doesn't make it any easier to understand what I'm saying. These videos are a nice way to practice presentation skills and English. Practice, practice, practice... Can't get better without practicing :P Thanks for your feedback and extra thank you for keeping it appropriate.

Dear , Would like to know which one to buy FLUKE 101 or RM101? They are the same ? Greetings from Brazil .

RM101 can measure current and it has DC mV -ranges. It also has backlight and bigger numbers on the display. It is very cheap multimeter and *FOR THE MONEY* it is great, but it doesn't have as good input protection as the Fluke 101. For measuring things in 5V and 12V electronic projects RM101 is great. But if the multimeter will be your only one and it will be used for checking mains voltage or other things in live mains powered circuits, I wouldn't buy RM101. Fluke 101 is safer, has better build quality and overall it feels very solid. Lack of backlight and current measurement capability may be a problem, depending on what is the main use case for the multimeter. Both of these have advantages and disadvantages. Neither one of these is perfect multimeter for every situation. When I need to take one cheap multimeter with me to a trip and I don't know what I need to measure, I like to take the Uni-T UT139C. It is bigger than these two, but it combines advantages from both of these into one multimeter. It's not "Fluke quality", but it's OK. I recommend you to consider UT139C as well, if bigger size isn't a problem. There isn't "one size fits all" solution when it comes to multimeters, but I hope this reply helps.

I'm new to the electronics Is the Richmeter 101 a quality device I will use for a long time? Thank you for your reply

I would recommend buying the Uni-T UT139C instead. It costs little bit more, but is well worth the extra money. The UT139C's build quality is much better and it has better input protection. It also has better fuses that are also easier to get... But if you can't invest more than $20 in multimeter, this is good choice. Best features in any sub $20 multimeter I've seen.

how much did you pay for shipping ? The site says 20 $ for meter and $24 for shipping

I paid about $16 for the meter and $0.60 for shipping. Try searching "6000 count multimeter" on Aliexpress, check the "Free shipping" -box and sort by price. At the moment I'm able to find some sellers selling these for $13, shipping included. Free shipping doesn' include every country, but I hope you'll find a seller who has free shipping to your country.

Hi, thanks for mentioning the time in correct format, which automatically becomes clickable link. The brand is Pomona: www.pomonaelectronics.com/index.php?i=prodmain&getDetails=2&parent=TESTKIT They make at least some of the Fluke's test leads/probes and also sell similar leads with their own branding, with slightly cheaper price. Those leads start from $15 or so (Which is more than this DMM costs. Understandably it's not an option for everyone), but increase the user experience a lot and in my opinion are worth buying even for a cheap meter like this.
