I've been holding off on getting into CFExpress A cards for a while know, Hoping that one day they'll finally come down in price, and that time has come! But cheaper isn't always better, so let's put it to the test!

I picked up four of them for my the Sony A7rv and my A7iv. I got a sweet deal on Amazon with my business account and they were having a sale and I got them for $137 apiece. I’ve used them for seven weddings and over 20 senior portrait sessions. Not one hiccup and transferring them onto my computer is such a joy. Everybody was talking shit about them and there’s too many people that don’t give new companies a chance. I’m not paying the extreme outrageous price for a SonyCF Type A card. Nope wont do it. Not even for the prograde cards. These cards are cheaper the best UHS-ii cards. I didn’t get the card reader because I already had a Sony cf type A card reader but like I said I’ve been super happy with them and I’m not sure I haven’t been paying attention to see if they came out with any larger storage cards since then

Glad you’ve had a good experience! And I think they’re selling them in 1TB now as well.
I use 2 of these cards in my A1 currently. All going well so far. Also have the ProGrade Type A which is a bit faster at clearing the buffer in real world but not that you would notice unless you fill the buffer when shooting. I don't do sports so makes no difference to me. Also work fine for 8K video at the max bitrate .

@@WesPerry The card doesn't have the VPG rating logo but it must be VPG400 anyway. Not seen any issues.
Would run one CF express and a v60 or v90 in slot 2?

Yeah that’s what you have to do with a camera like the a7iv, and what I do. A more expensive camera like the a1 or a7Rv you’d put a CFE in both slots for max performance. So for me it’s more about decreasing offload time. Since I have a Very fast computer, my ingest of a wedding or big video shoot is greatly limited by the speed of the card/card reader. Many days I come home with between 120 - 240GB of data, and a card like this can cut the import time by 72%.
