I also did, but it was with the GameStop box. I bought that and Klonoa 2 on PS2 $5 each. This was 2010. I actually was at the GameStop to get Klonoa 2 specifically, F-Zero just kinda happened to be a lucky break.

I really enjoyed this style of video, it would be cool to see more of these for the GameCube or really any other system, retro or not

I remember having some fun with the Reign of Fire gamecube game. Pricecharting says 6.39 loose. Plays like a vehicle combat game for the human faction and as a dragon you're fighting the humans and burning up crops.

One of the best ones despite it's awful name is "Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie" -game The game is dirt cheap and fun as hell. Gamecube version looks the best because for some reason on other consoles they went for the "We got more powerful machines so could as well make everything shiny and "realistic" looking" -route. But yeah big recommendation for the king kong game!

Yep! This was my first fps game, and man it is awesome. It has a cool story, good gameplay, companions that talk with you through the story, it has the original movie actors voicing here, and has pretty decent graphics. It's also pretty long too, so you get your fix. Plus, you can play as king kong himself!

So many people think collecting for the Gamecube is impossible but there are a ton of games outside the first party choices that are still affordable. Great choices here!

Timesplitter games were absolutely fantastic for the GameCube.

0:24 I doubt that was intentional but the fact that the names of the Mario Party Titles are "ascending" just like their numbers do when you align them side by side is cool. 2:20 Also this game deserves the "with the likeness of 007 James Bond (Pierce Brosnan)" way more than Golden Eye... 6:01 Oh wow. Granted, Wolverine was never the prettiest guy around, but what is this face? 8:10 About the pronunciation of Naruto. It's said a felt 80 times in the first intro alone... But given you struggled with "Koch Media" too I am not surprised. I am thankfully in the position to own all the hallmark titles I really wanted. And I got them new back in the day.

I absolutely love everything about the Gamecube, from the OS, game library, look of the console, controller, it's by far my favourite Nintendo system.

My favorite cheap GameCube games are honestly the licensed movie/TV games. Like some of the old Disney or Nickelodeon games are truly gold nowadays to play.

Totally! I had so much fun playing through the Harry Potter game series, especially when the books & films were releasing alongside them. Not only were they fun to play, but they expanded the lore in many ways.

Spongebob games were fire this gen. Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, Battle for Bikini Bottom and Movie were great.

I do miss that couch co-op/splitscreen feel. SpongeBob Lights Camera Pants is my recommendation if you're looking for a party game on the GameCube. I never played Wrestlemania 18, but I imagine Wrestlemania 19 is just as fun, if not more.

W19 was definitely a step up from W18, had a bit more meat to it, the season mode is pretty different but cool in a goofy/fun way

Picked up a near mint condition Spice Orange GameCube on eBay last month. I already owned 3 games being Metal Gear Solid the Twin Snakes, Super Smash Bros Malee and Starfox Adventures

I've found Spice Orange ones being bit tricky to find in good condition. Something about that specific colour has very fragile plastic that seems to always have chipped somewhere.

I just repurchased Mercenaries 2 foot PS2, it wasn't expensive and I loved this game back in the day.

@@RMK245 You're not wrong. It even has it's own tournament scene, so a lot of videos about the Clash of Ninja series will be on 4. But even then, the amount of coverage this series, or probably any Naruto game, gets will be eclipse by DBZ games.

X-men legends was so fun, too bad I never really got past the sinking ship level.

The Sonic Collection reminded me of how similar the Ninja Turtle Cowabunga Collection was made and it's extras.

I remember playing X-Men Legends back in the early to mid 2000s with my brother and some kids near my house. We spent hours playing that game, and is a fond memory for me playing with my brother

Great games. I vaguely remember playing that X-Men Legends game at my buddy's house I never had it though I definitely did get Marvel Ultimate Alliance One and Two for the Nintendo Wii and they were amazing. Especially all the different versions of the superheroes you can pick I feel like these Marvel games today are really lacking.

I mean, the obvious ones to go for are the licensed sports titles. Most of the games around this era were still good and EA didn't have exclusive licensing everywhere yet. Madden 2005 is also considered one of the best games in the franchise. Elsewhere, there's also the Medal of Honor games, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Lego Star Wars 1/2, Burnout, Tony Hawk 3, True Crime: Streets of LA, various Call of Duty games, various Ghost Recon games, various Splinter Cell games, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, Ty and the Tasmanian Tiger, X-Men: Next Dimension, Spider-Man, Tetris Worlds, Pac-Man Fever, Prince of Persia trilogy, and Resident Evil 0.

Loved the GameCube growing up. A few top games I remember playing were: Vexx - better than any 3D Mario collection game of the era, imo. Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - I put hundreds, if not a thousand hours into these. F-Zero GX - still probably my favorite racing game. Looking these 3 up... you weren't lying when you said the GameCube may as well be made of gold. All 3 of these are $100+ with the case, art, & manual. Crazy. Thankfully I still own all 3 of these.

Not a Gamecube game but when I was younger I found a Lego City 3DS game at a local retro game shop for 5$, I had sooo much fun in the car messing around, there are a lot of hidden gems in every consoles library and the cover art is not the only judging factor to a game.

If you like sports games the yearly released games are usually cheap. The arcade sports games can be expensive but not too expensive compared to other genre.

Cheap and GameCube usually doesn't coincide. There better be a Second Sight sighting on this.

I'm so glad I got the games I wanted when prices for "expensive" games were $40 for things like Smash or Mario Kart.

I don't know if this game is cheap or not, but Disney's Haunted Mansion game is pretty fun! It has nothing to do with the movie, it has an original story and characters. It's like a Luigi's Mansion-lite game, where you explore the rooms and hallways of the mansion, battling ghosts and collecting spirits to open the following rooms. It has great atmosphere, as the game is quite dark and gloomy, and the music is great, complementing the visuals and adding to the feeling of dread as you explore the mansion. It also has some realy cool gameplay moments, but of course, as a 2000s platformer, it also has some clunk and clank to it, and can get a bit frustrating of course. But if you can deal with that, the game ia quite fun and enjoyable, specially if you loved LM and want more of that type of experience.

I always loved the GameCube. Probably my favorite console. I have a nice collection of games for it but sadly I don't have a GameCube console anymore. 😭

The GameCube is great as long as you can find someone selling games cheap at like a yard sale or thrift shop or something. Anywhere official it’s gonna be a small fortune. Thank goodness for emulation. I mean it’s great that you can still find cheap games but it still sucks it’s so expensive otherwise.

Loved the Gamecube content! I recently bought "Second Sight" for the Gamecube under $10. I recommed it as well.

I wasn't expecting a scott the woz minisode today.

I have WrestleMania X8 on the GameCube. It's nowhere near as good as XIX or the Day Of Reckoning games, but I have a soft spot for it. It's kinda enjoyable. Plus it was the very last WWF game before they changed their name to WWE, so that also made it special.

I found Melee CIB a couple of weeks ago at my local Game X Change for $50. Last I checked best price on eBay fetched $120+ so I'd say I got a steal.

I have Mega Collection, Everything or Nothing and Clash of Ninja 2, they're all pretty good especially Sonic it's my fav way to play the Genesis games. I didn't play X-men Legends 1 but I played 2, it's pretty fun

The cheapest fun GameCube game I ever bought was NHL Blitz 2002. It had been in the display case at my local Walmart for $2 for a whole year and after seeing it so many times passing by, I just had to buy it. Man that game was so much fun, pushing players through the glass and out of the hockey rink and then it turns into a fighting game when a brawl breaks out. Also the weird unlockable teams and arenas you can play in. Aliens Sharks etc. Ironically WrestleMania 8X is the most disappointing Gamecube game I've ever bought lol

This is the video I’ve been waiting for! I literately just bought the game now! I used to own this game when I was in middle school. I am a HUGE Nintendo GameCube supporter and it’s my favorite console next to the Switch. I am always looking for amazing deals on games that are either popular, or even games that are slept on that happen to be certified bangers.

At one point, I had Resident Evil 4, Paper Mario: Thousand year Door, LOZ: Wind Waker all complete in box. Sold them all along with other games about half a year before Switch came out. 🤦Hindsight 20/20

I rebought some complete GameCube games this year all under $20 each. X-Men next dimension for $19.99. the Lord of the rings The return of the King $14. The incredible Hulk $12 (regret this one was worse then I remembered lol) And the best deal was need for Speed Hot pursuit 2 for $5

All good picks. I remember the buildup to Everything or Nothing at the time. It was being built as a Bond movie without the movie. Celebrity faces, pop theme song, etc. Also Mania X8 was the reason I bought a GameCube when I did. As a big wrestling fan, the roster of the WWE game of the moment was important and X8 was the only game that had the NWO and the last time we got to play as Scott Hall for some time, so that swung me back to a Nintendo home system for the first time since the original NES.

We need a Spawn Cube channel

I think you could do a list where the bottom of the list could be anywhere up to 30-40 dollars.

Interesting choices. I don't have a GameCube library other than Wii compatible ones (NFS Nitro and Smash Brawl) besides Wave Race Blue Storm and a dead Mario Kart Double Dash. I enjoyed PN03, Auto Modellista and Ra Racing Evolution a lot via emu and if got physical I'd be happy like I did GT Advance 3. The racing games suit that Sim/arcade experience like Gear Club Unlimited 2 and Grid Autosport do on Switch. PN03 isn't perfect but I enjoy it's dodging and not regular 3rd person movement combat mechanics. It's unique and I think people ignore it when just because it was rushed it ended up with mechanics that could have been a different timeline of tank controls or just being a dodging game first. I think what we have is fine but it's fun to do combo inputs for special attacks while regular is controlled auto aim and in and out weaving. Well Zapper is a good Frogger game so can't go wrong there. I'm not into Sonic used to own Zapper and while not into Frogger clones for a Frogger 3 from Swampy's revenge it makes sense and I'd take lesser known platformers like it or Scaler my favourite B grade platformer any day. Beating it was no upgrade runs is fun too 3 health than 6, 1 Camo (required the 2 boosts aren't) and no upgrades is fun. Using Camo or jump attacks is necessary in arenas. Grinding is better than Sonic and Ratchet and Clank.

Check out Monster House too. It's a licensed kids movie game, but it's a Resident Evil 4 clone.

I managed to pick up Everything or Nothing brand spanking new, still in the shrink wrap, last year for only $30.

Probably should rename the video to "games that I got for cheap that won't be cheap for you after this video."

just wanna throw in that the Clash of Ninja series actually has a competitive scene. However, nowadays people mostly play a mod of Clash of Ninja 4, that game itself never releasing outside Japan. That being said, that's a sort of testament to how good the series is.

WMx8 has one of the best soundtracks ever.

The mega collection and clash of ninja 2 are personal favs of mine and I’m honestly a little shocked they aren’t high on price (mega collection especially). I’ll have to look into X-men legends, it sounds fun. I don’t think it was a gamecube exclusive, but I always thought Marvel Nemesis: rise of the imperfects was such a unique game. I wonder where that is at on the 2nd hand market.

WrestleMania x8 is extremely nostalgic for me because it was my first one. Smackdown vs Raw it's not but I still hold it in a high regard.

My biggest regret is ditching all my covers in a move from the UK to Australia. I own some pretty well sought after games, but the value is significantly lower because of this.

Try SSX on tour, Tony Hawk 4, Smashing Drive, Crazy Taxi and my favorite Mlb Slugfest 2003 all cheap games and fun for the price.

The James Bond game is the only one that interested me, but a fun video nonetheless.

The cheap games are gonna be those multiplatform games available on PS2 and Xbox. Those AAA First party and exclusives are where the cost is on GC.
