It was part of our 100-Day honeymoon and since we would be on the road quite long, we did not want to go for the high end resorts of Maldives. Our honeymoon in Maldives Budget was restricted so that we are able to last longer for the remaining days. We wanted a lot budget Maldives trip!
Now the question is how to plan Maldives Trip on a Budget?
Well, first and foremost, a budget Maldives trip will definitely involve you going to a local island.
We went to Oomadhoo island for our Budget honeymoon in Maldives.
The Maldives cost of living is cheap on the islands and that’s a first step towards a Maldives Low Budget Trip!
Maldives, how much does it cost? You will have to factor in your flights, accommodations, activities and transfers! THat’s the bulk of the expenses and will constitute your Maldives cost to visit.

@Christian A, the island that I went to was more chilled. No resorts, it was a local island. So it was ok to fly at some point. It was nowhere near airports and seaplanes. The footages for the resort islands, I got them from stock footages...from pixabay. ;)

Hi Kelvin, your excursions cost how much usd? Am planning to may 2nd week as honeymoon trip and will it be a good time to visit Maldives?

@Natha Kishore, I think we only did one excursion which was the sandbank trip. That was 30 USD. 2nd week of May...well from May to October is the rainy season. November to April would have been best. But May is I guess at the transition point, so i think it might still be ok.

@Rubi, you mean how much it could cost for 3 days? It depends on your activities and where you are going. But if you are a budget traveller and want to do similar itinerary as mine, the video provides some good price reference. You can calculate for 3 days based on the activities.

maldives is expensive and cant even drink booze, plenty of better places to go
