@@latriceb823 I figured it out. The plastic roller on the back can be raised and lowered by removing bolt on the side and sliding it up and down.

@@mhuff29 Thanks so much!!! Couldn't for the life of me figure it out myself! I THOUGHT most manual lawn mowers could be adjusted; I wasn't satisfied with the idea this mower was the exception. I really appreciate the reply. Thanks again.

@@latriceb823 no problem I took the entire wheel base apart trying to figure out and got to looking at the back and was like "smh" it was that simple....
