One of the best places to eat in Seoul for travelers who want to experience eating traditional Korean street food at a Korean market! I have to admit this place is quite touristy now but it was SO MUCH FUN. I've never had a street food market experience like this.
It is a small alley market. Once you walk in you will notice a door opening to a Dosirak Cafe. That is where you can exchange cash for the coins to get street food. You then walk around and fill up your dosirak - Korean lunch box. It is such a fun thing to do in Seoul! I think it was less overwhelming than some of the bigger street food markets like Namdaemun Market. Highly recommend if you're in the area. I saw a lot of kids enjoying the lunchbox experience so if you're traveling with children this will be a good sight to visit on your Seoul trip!

Price: Each box is 5,000 won about $4.19 USD. I got two boxes, total was around $8! I found it cheap for the experience. Food quality varies so you might want to arrive early just to get fresher batches.

I like how the owner of each restaruant doesn't take the coins into their hand and instead they kindly just ask you to place it into a nearby jar. Very clean!

Coffee in Korea could be expensive as well. It’s rare to get a meal in Korea that’s under $5. Korean street markets are just cheap

The foods usually very hot so yea like it will literally burn your tounge if you eat it the second you buy it haha

Janay Clarke that is so true. I wish we had places like this that sold street food and you can get so many different foods to try. All we have are fast food joints which i am not crazy about. Asian food looks better and healthier than anything we get here

That looked like a lot of fun and a good way to try some new things. I go to a Korean market here where I live and get new things every time but the kimchi is the best and home made not in a jar.
