@@MattYang if you plan to use an instrument (acoustic/electric guitar or acoustic/electric ukulele) and a mic at the same time, then you would need 2 channels! So you can plug them both in.

It depends on why you are buying it. I'm not trying to be famous but I like singing. I'm better at classic poetry than writing songs but I try for fun, or I just cover stuff. I share it with my friends and family. Is my voice amazing? No. But it's probably better than average. I've sung since I was little, I've done choir and grew up doing school musicals. I'm in my mid 20's and my career job is an EMT/firefighter. I made the decision to buy equipment because I was unimpressed with phone, computer, or tablet recording sound. Do I need a few hundred dollars of equipment? probably not. But I would rather have something a little nicer than buying something cheap and having it 1) break 2) not work 3) I outgrow in a few months/years (sound quality or durability). And if you really aren't sure if you will regret your purchase then wait 6 months and see if you still want this set up (it's probably the same amount of time it might take to save up, if you're old enough to have a proper job). I came back to this video to find the isolation shield. Thanks.

Omg Zane tysmmm!! I'm actually moving into an apartment with my sister and mom soon, and if I save up enough I can probably convince my mom to let me set something like this up. Of course most of it would be from me saving up, or birthday/Christmas gifts. But, my sister and mom also love singing just as much as me and have amazing voices. So, this could benefit all of us. I already own a guitar, saving up for another one actually. So this could be a really cool thing so I'm definitely going to do something like this. Thanks again for this video!!

The Kaotica Eyeball is a really great thing to have for your home studio. It can replace the pop filter and guard around your mic

Hi! I recently bought the equipments you mentioned on your video. I setup the way you described. However, I am confuse how to get started recording. I have the Ableton live lite software installed because I do not have MacOS 11 or higher. Do you have an alternative recommendation to use and start recording music covers? Thank you in advance.

This is an awesome set up! I have a tower PC, so I would have to investigate how to to hook it up to it. But I really need something so I can practice and still sound ok.

@@sophiawmusic it's a very cheap and generic condenser/xlr microphone (just like the one in the video). It works ofc - but it doesn't sound as good as any common mid-range priced xlr microphones. Hope this helps :)
