I remember going to Gran Canaria multiple times as a child and really enjoying the lifts there, especially two different glass lifts found in two different hotels, one going only two stories between the basement and the reception in the Parque Cristobal hotel and the other one in some other hotel which only went between floors 1, 9 and 10 if I remember correctly, floor 1 was the beach and floor 9 or 10 was at road level

I love the grotty Schindler smarts at the Villa Del Conde. They always fascinated me as I used to stay at that hotel all the time. You could get a GoPro Hero 7 second hand for a decent price. It's very high quality and doesn't need a case. Although the battery does die quickly

I wasn't expecting to see a Schindler Smart in Gran Canaria. It was a nice surprise. I hadn't thought of getting a secondhand gopro. Will have to look at the prices.

I went to Gran Canaria this year! (2nd January-9th January) I also saw that Funicular far away from the Hotel I stayed in! (The hotel I stayed in was Holiday Club Puerto Calma) The lifts in Holiday Club were Otis Gen2 lifts & an Otis 2000 lift near the entrance which goes to reception & the first floor of the hotel.

I was going to look in that hotel but I ran out of time. Took me longer than expected to get to the funicular hotel as the only way in is to walk to the very top. That hotel must assume that all their guest like to use taxis, as otherwise they would have put in an entrance at the bottom of the funicular.

For the bodycam , I bought a chinese Braun at Conforama . That's not the same Braun as razors but it's worth the price . I paid 65€ for a 4K , 90min battery .

I love the yellow windows in the funiculars. I noticed that they still have green bits at the bottom where the old cars were on them. That bamboo hotel looks fantastic. It's strange seeing the motor room left empty like that. I'm rather surprised it hasn't been used as a store room.

On the promotional videos for Kone, Otis and Schindler MRLs they advertise that the buildings will have more space as the motor room can be reused. But in practice I have always seen them not used as they are often in a not convenient location. Also Kone does a very good Motor room modernization of older lifts, I feel it is a shame that they don't promote their mods very much, compared with how hard they push their MRLs which is a downgrade.
