On todays DIY Snake Rack video we focus on fixing our bull snake rack's heat tape. The aluminum foil tape that usually sticks very well to everything wouldn't stick to the plastic rack, so we had to go to a more permanent plan B.

Thank you so much! I had to do something, and after getting a pneumatic rivet gun, life got much simpler trying to secure things together.
I just realized you're using the same coroplast I used to make my tabletop guinea pig enclosures out of. I'd buy a couple sheets from a local small business for about $20 each. Very easy to work with and cut to my needs!

The signs(I think 16"x24") are more expensive but they fit this particular rack perfectly, and the 30x36" sheets are also available.
do you have a video on how to wired the heat tape
What size tubs do you use for you bulls? I have a corn i think is crossed with something because he is huge

Thanks, I had never had the foil tape react like that, so I figured a more permanent solution was in order.
Does The heat tape need to have some kind of airflow. If so is that the reason why you're using shelves that have ventilation because of the space in between the bars.
In the manufactured rack that you have there's the corrugated plastic then the heat tape what is below the heat is it just open space?
What brand shelf is this black plastic one?
How do you parallel connect heat tape I can’t find anybody to explain to me as of yet

there is a gold or silver strip on each side of the heat tape that runs its length, those are basically the power bus bars. if you don't use a complete unbroken strip of heat tape you have to use wire to connect them. I personally solder mine, you can also use mechanical crimps as well and that's what most heat tape manufacturers use.
What size is the modified plastic rack? 36x18?

I'm sorry I was slow to respond, I honestly dont know and I've lost my tape measure. I decided on this particular plastic rack by taking the tub i was going to use and sliding it into one of their display's to find one that fit appropriately and then bought it.
