CHEAP Cordless Tire Inflator Air Compressor - IRONFIST

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Dragging around my huge air compressor or bubble became too much of a hassle to air up tires. I wanted something that was small, compact, lightweight, and used batteries I already had. I came across the Ironfist tire inflator that used the Dewalt batteries I already owned, and had to try it. After using it for a few months, I wish I would have bought it sooner. It's so much more convenient to use over dragging my heavy corded air compressor around. I wanted to share it with all of you. Ironfist makes one for Dewalt and Milwaukee batteries (links below).

I have a lot of 80 psi truck & trailer tires, which can take a while with any cordless inflator. I have Milwaukee batteries, so I spent the extra money for the M18 inflator (2848-20). That M18 compressor seems to be at least twice as fast as the actual DeWalt inflator. It tops up my 80 psi truck and trailer tires in a reasonable time, and it's very fast on car tires. It also has four memory settings, which is more convenient than it may sound. For a few small tires, the cheap ones are OK, but for bigger or high-pressure tires, that M18 inflator is a beast.

I'm with you, I wouldn't use them on high pressure tires.

i use mine to inflate bike tires to 90psi and it turns off after the first tire and then stays off for like an hour before working again. it isnt hot anywhere on thr device or dewalt battery. does anyone else have this issue?

Should have jacked the tire off the ground, that's a lot of weight considering it's basically lifting the truck

you going to stop and Jack up your car when you come out of a store and notice your low tire? he was just showing that it could do it

Doesn't matter. The air needs to hold up the truck later anyway.

Nice video, my experience with these type of compressors is that they take way too long to inflate tires and they wear out very quickly. I'll stick with my 120v 2HP air compressor for my garage. It has many other uses, like powering air tools, paint gun, simple blow gun, and many others. It inflates tires very quickly and it's durable. I would consider this tool to carry in my car for emergency use.

The good thing about these are they are set to the desired psi and then go off and do something else, away from the noise. Also, if you have bad knees, you don't have to squat. I don't have vehicles that set around for very long, so it is mostly just topping them off, unless I catch nail. I have had cheap cigarette lighter plug ones that with my use case, have lasted over 10 years and counting, I had bought a cheap little 3 gallon "hotdog" compressor and it is noisy as hell and I can't get past topping off one tire before the racket begins again. Sounds like you have a nice quiet shop compressor and a long hose, but I bet you probably still have to move the vehicles in reach and have to squat there for each inflation. The portability and the set and forget are important to me.✌️

Thanks for leaving a comment. I have several different types of compressors, and I'm amazed at how often I use this one. I live on acreage, so having something portable has become a must. My shop is fully plumbed for air, and fed by a 60 gallon compressor. However, so many things end up out of reach.

But those are not as handy when needed to be portable
