I've got one just like it and I've had it 3yrs and have run 1000s of lbs though it with no problems at all. It works great for me. I do 250lbs at the time with it and by the time I run it through it and get everything mixed up and put away takes around an hour.

I found out if you're grinding coarse like making cracked corn you can feed it faster and get 300 lbs an hour . I can't stress enough that it needs a switch to cut it on and off . The hinged door make clean out easy if you lock it up and remember it'll just stop so I see how people would think it was broken but just open the door pull the rotor and clean it out . DON'T LOSE THE BEARING

We recently bought one too. Works great for the corn we are cracking. As for the switch, we just plugged it into a power strip.

Thanks for the review! I had seen these but was afraid to buy because I thought maybe it wouldn't be any good. I watched this several months ago and bought one. Best thing I ever purchased! I've cut my feed cost in half by being able to buy whole grain by the 2,000 pound sack, grinding it myself, and add some protein supplement vs buying pre-formulated pig feeds. It is slow though. I rigged up a hopper to set on top of it so I can pour a 5 gallon bucket into it and walk away and do something else while it grinds. If I had 220 in any of my outbuildings I could probably have bought one of the more 220 versions, maybe they'd be more powerful and therefor I could open up the plastic deal in the neck of the thing and let more through at a time. My dream is a tractor with a grinder-mixer, but right now I don't have the numbers to justify the expense of that setup.

I bought one of these through Amazon. It shipped from Prijesse and we bought the 3 year warranty. The first thing i should have checked for was the availability of parts. It arrived missing bolts and no parts list. The "cast iron" grinding wheel broke just 2 weeks after operation. The grinding wheel was cheap chi com pot steel. Never again. We'll see how well the warranty works.

I doubt there's any warranty . I've had good luck with this one but I know how to run a burr mill . They're cheap priced and cheap made no doubt , if you keep it greased and don't over work it ( too long of a run time ) or hit the plates together it's decent for the money . You can order new plates at least they're about $ 30.00 .

Brother I sure appreciate the quick reply! That’s great news. About the grease, we use some stuff at work called STL8 and it stands for screw thread lubricant 8. It’s super slick grease that coats like you wouldn’t believe and you could probably coat a barn with a spoonful of it. It has a light amber tint to it and comes in either a small tube or a small plastic bottle with a brush like anti seize. I use it on all kinds of small stuff just like this. You ought to look into trying some. Again, I sure do appreciate the information. God bless.

Oh, and forgot to mention it in my comment, but the first thing that I noticed about it was that the plug was a two prong with no equipment grounding pin and the cable is only a two conductor, so if there is ever a ground fault in the peckerhead of the motor or the motor itself then whoever touches any part of it is going to be in a heck of a bind. That is if the conditions are right and they don’t just die of electrocution. If you have one, please add a ground.

@@codyb8278 I think for the money it's probably ok , it is what it is though . It is the cheapest way to grind grain I could find besides used and antique , someone up here said they had theirs for years but it is a tough call and remember I have a mixer grinder and a hammer mill So I'm not relying on this one for much except a little wheat and rye and once I get the big Burr mill fixed not even for that

@@wadebarnes6720 yes I think that's what's it's really made to do . More of a kitchen appliance than a feed mill , you need to break it in first and sift after . I make corn mill and grits fairly often with this one but be careful if you hit the grinding plates together you'll have to replace them . They're cheap around 20.00

It goes up and down of course but right now I'm feeding about 100 lbs a day of hog feed . That's 26.00 if I buy it from the feed mill or 6.00 if I make it
