Cheap 302 Rebuild - The Runner - Happy new Year!!

Happy New Year to everyone! As stated in the video, I offer apologies to Patreon supporters, on account of releasing the Christmas and New Year uploads publicly straight away. I wanted to release the video's in time for these key dates. So... we're finished the 302 as it now awaits its opportunity to power the Fairlane. Some XC GXL and Fairlane content is on the way, so I hope you enjoy!

Hi Peter The Cleveland engine run a special Thermostat. If you remove the thermostat it will overheat. There is a hole under the thermostat that get blocked off when the thermostat opens. You need to get the correct one

Sounds sweet. While it was harder for us to hear the miss, I couldn't help watching the water pump pulley strobing in the camera frame rate and it was actually easier to see the slight changes in RPM. But not withstanding the slight miss, which for you isn't a worry, she sounds fantastic.

How good is it to be able to work on a clevo outside of the car! It saves the skin and the use of colourful descriptive language.

Those aluminium pulleys are just for running in right? You need to maintain a ratio of 3:1 between the crankshaft pulley and alternator pulley for the street otherwise it won't change properly at idle. The aftermarket ones are generally 2:1 for drag racing. Also your water pump pulley looks huge but it could be an illusion. Would this make the water pump go slower like a large alternator pulley does?!

Hi Peter, hoping that you could provide me with some guidance on what would be the best grease to use to repack a preslite wiper motor, plastic gears, contacts etc (Lithium or Silicone grease)? It's hard to get an answer on what would be best and not cause problems with the contacts to not conduct electricity. Thanks in advance. Mark
