CHCNAV | i73 IMU-RTK GNSS Receiver - A new scale to GNSS

Ғылым және технология

Going Orange! In January 2024, CHC Navigation unveiled a significant branding initiative for our Surveying & Engineering product portfolio. This transformative move includes a shift from classic blue to a vibrant orange color for its GNSS receivers, symbolizing a commitment to cutting-edge technology.
About i73+
Best-in-class technology but at an affordable price. The i73 GNSS offers superior GNSS signal tracking enabling GNSS surveys beyond the usual constraints. It features full 624-channel GNSS technology and connects seamlessly to RTK GNSS networks as well as to UHF GNSS station over its embedded UHF modem.
Automatic pole-tilt compensation. The i73 GNSS internal interference-free inertial module (IMU) allows automatic pole tilt compensation of up to 45 degrees. Projects are completed 30% faster and with increased efficiency and safety when measuring hard-to-reach points.
Weighs less, works longer. The i73 takes GNSS to a new scale. With only 730 g and 15 hours operating time, the i73 GNSS is one of the lightest and most rugged RTK GNSS receivers on the market. Easy to carry and use, the i73 will not tire you out.

Bought it before one year. Fully satisfied from software, battery, precision. I was thinking to buy a chinese instrument but now i know i made the perfect choice. Base rover works great too.

Starting with a i73 and iBase back in 2021 (if not mistaken), Currently I have 4 unit of i73 paired with 3 units of i83 (as a base or rover if working in large site with one iBase). The instrument hardware is very good quality and the best part is the seamless LandStar8 application. With this year launch of i76, I might get one or two of the palm size Receiver. My team working at least 6-8 hours/day carrying the receiver will appreciate every gram of weight reduction.

Great instrument. We sold some of them in germany to our customers. They were first sceptical but in direct comparison to much more expensive systems, the i73+ with LS8 always won. The precision is incredible and I don't know any better software. The sw quality is especislly for us as reseller extremely important because bad software makes a lot of support effort. The i73+ with LS8 is a no brainer. You probably don't get any better system on the market for such a fair price. Keep going! We are very happy with chc products.

Same for Brazil costumers. LS8 + CHCi73+ is a no brainer and the best piece of equipment you can get for the price. Incredible how they were able to make such good software and hardware for fair price. Please CHC, keep the good work and the right path you guys are paving, keep it consistent, checking the accuracy of your products before putting it on market and keep improving LS8 like you guys are doing, day by day. Would be lovely to have a fast arrow option to increase observation time directly on mapping screen of LS, like pressing the button and increasing by some configured step for adding time for observations. 😊

Any difference between this new orange color compared to the "old" i73+ blue color? Which is the IMU rate update? You guys keeps rocking. Thanks for making the best Software possible (LS8) and for such a great quality. I'm loving using your gear here in Brazil. Any tips for "cathing" some possible false fix in LS8 software? Thanks!

Hello. Where can I find in documentation over those rover parameters inside Word Mode for Rover in Landstsr7 (I couldn't find in LS7 manual): Ionosphere model: -not disturbed (default) -normal (why not this one for default?) -disturbed (I guess it's appropriate to solar storms epochs) Safe mode: -normal (default) -trustable (Whats the difference from normal? Why not this one for default?) Plus, which elevation mask you guys recommend? The default is 10 degrees, but wouldnt be better 15 degrees as default to filter out some noise from signal and mitigate multipath? Thanks!

Hi Luiz, Reply from our product manager: Ionosphere model and Safe mode do not support the change of settings. Regarding the third question, if there are buildings within 10 degrees of the visual field, then a setting of 15 degrees will suppress interference better. If there is no obstruction below 10 degrees, setting 10 degrees will use low elevation satellites more to obtain higher accuracy. There is no absolute value, so we support our customers to set their own value, 10 degrees is the typical value we provide.
