Funny story, growing up my Dad always made me ‘dippy eggs’ and toast. I went to go get breakfast with friends and I ordered dippy eggs. 😂😂😂 The waitress told me they were called over easy. Thank goodness because I didn’t know. lol

Roxie (or Roxy) is darling! I am glad she chose to seek help from such nice people! As a cat guardian of 6, being a zookeeper can be a blessing despite the challenges. As someone with severe dietary restrictions that took years to get sorted, get tested when you can so you know how to proceed. Knowledge is power when it comes to these things.

Jovial pasta is by far the best gf pasta out there, it's so good you don't even know it's gf, and it reheats well too. Especially the penne, the mafalda and the spaghetti.

I'd love to see a swatch video on the Glaminatrix blushes with maybe another look from the Groovy Garden palette at the end. Can't wait to hear more on the new foundation. It looks great! ❤

Your makeup is stunning, love that it is soft but colorful at the same time, and it goes so well with your facial characteristics. Beautiful! My journey with bread was very similar, while younger I ate bread with everything and then I developed some bad intolerance. Not allergy (got tested by gastroenterologist), but very strong intolerance. What I learned is that gluten is literally in everything, even food where you would never think it's in. Similar as lactose, it's almost impossible to buy something without lactose (unless is advertised as). Very rarely I still eat some bread, but then not for a month, and then again, and then not for another month...... and so on. Happy for your new dog, she is so cute!

hello, as someone who was diagnosed with celiac disease 2 years ago when i was 33 -- I strongly advise that you get testing done to see if you have 1) celiac, or 2) gluten allergy, or 3) JUST the gluten intolerance. it will make things much more clear and help you figure out how strict you have to be with your diet. i love arepas and pupusas as substitutes. i like katz, bfree, and feel good gluten free products. the hardest thing for me to avoid that has gluten is soy sauce -- byebye chinese restaurants! vietnamese food is generally safe for me.

Roxy's personality will come out as she relaxes & gains confidence. Being consistent is very important & she will learn your rules & expectations. We took our rescue dog to Pet Smart training classes & it was so helpful. She wasn't a puppy (they said she was 2) & whoever had her before had apparently not worked with her & we suspect she was apt raised & punished for barking. She never barks, not even at the doorbell or garbage men. So unusual for a small dog who are usually very yappy. It took a while for her to fully come out of her shell & not have separation anxiety. She is now going on 19 & deaf, blind & basically incontinent so our house is wall to wall potty pads. She went from needing to be right up against you (on the couch, in bed or at your feet) & very playful to being very withdrawn & disinterested in anything other than food. I miss her younger self. (It can be easy to miss deafness in a dog. If they don't come when you call, they might not be ignoring you. ) We were frustrated until we realized she just could not hear us. Loss of eyesight ontop of that really added to her personality change 😢 But we still love her & try to care for her as her needs dictate. I'm so happy Roxy gets along with all the other furbabies. It's a nightmare when they don't 😮

I inherited bunnies from my ex husband, a golden doodle from my daughter.., and I hope when I’m able to retire someday, that I’ll be able to have a rescue farm with animals who need homes! I too grew up with my dippy eggs n toast too! I developed an egg allergy a few years ago, and it took me awhile to get used too!

Hi Amy. Thank you for fostering a dog that needed to feel safe and loved!❤ I’m so happy that you fell in love with her! I’m not sure I could foster….. I couldn’t give them up! Any dog I fostered would be mine!😂 I’m from New York….nothing compares to the pizza there! There are tests, in addition to bloodwork, that can determine the extent of your gluten sensitivity. You wouldn’t want to remove all gluten without this determination because gluten does have some heart health benefits. Now I’ll shut up….🤐 Love the life update videos. It’s always so nice to see you!💛

We have a pizza place near us (northwest Ohio) that makes a pizza crust and “bread” sticks out of cauliflower. It’s SO good. You can’t even tell it’s cauliflower and not traditional while it’s still hot. Now I did notice when I went to eat another piece later and it was cold you could tell it was cauliflower. It was still pretty tasty but didn’t taste traditional like it did while hot. It heats up well though and as long as it’s hot you really can’t tell.

I love your fur babies! Yay! Brb crying over that story, it’s so sweet and she’s so precious 😭 I have two German shepherds, one is all black and she used to be a show dog. So glad we rescued her, she gets very scared around people she doesn’t know, so she actually took off on my mom for the first six days. It was scary but thank god a local dog recovery group found her, it was dead winter as well. It took her like a month to warm up to me and my mom, but I’m her favorite lol. Though she still gets very nervous around men especially, my husband and my stepdad are the only two guys she’ll let near her but it took months with them. It’s so sad but I’m thankful she’s in a good place with us now. I love that you guys took that doggy in, it always makes me so happy to hear an animal was given a home! There are too many out there who need a good human to care for them. I love that for you guys ❤ thank you for rescuing that sweet baby! And omg my other shepherd is a grumpy old man and if he doesn’t have his tennis ball he’s mad 😂😂😂 my dogs will fight if a ball or snack is taken so I always make sure they have doubles of everything toy or food related! And yes to dog training! So important when you have dog breeds like ours, shepherds or pitbulls or whatever. You know, the ones that always get unfairly stereotyped! It’s the people who don’t train their dogs that are much more likely to have bad things happen, like an attack on another dog or human. I’m always so careful with mine, they’ll never leave my house without a leash either. I’m sure you are as well. I love that you talked about this! I love your chatty get ready with mes, and I’m so excited to see you use that ER palette again! Your look is so beautiful ❤❤❤

I've been baking exclusively gluten-free for many years, so I have a ton of recommendations I can share! I highly recommend King Arthur's gluten free 1-1 flour as an easy swap for regular flour in any recipe, so you can still make your beloved bread ❤ Caulipower brand cauliflower crust is my favorite for homemade pizzas. Cassava flour is another great alternative. Gluten-free these days is much better than it used to be, thankfully!

Aww good luck with „ getting the zoo together“ 🤞🥰 But I actually wanted to give some tips according to eating/cooking ☺️ Disclaimer: I myself have no struggles with gluten, but some friends have. Also I consider myself as a flexitarian - so no foods are per se off limits, but I heavily eat vegetarian/vegan stuff - despite having a gastric bypass for 12 years ^^ (just have to make sure I‘ll get my proteins, but everyone needs them ^^) So, some general recommendations (which you’ve probably already have heard of) and 2 names of my fav cooking ppl to get some inspiration of (if the style suits you of course 😅 (after almost 6 years following, I still can’t figure it out. 😁🙈) - quinoa has many benefits & can be a great substitute for „side stuff“ which contains gluten - millet does so well and both have (according to „food scientists“ I talked to) big benefits all over… however, I want to eat & cook stuff I like the taste of 🤷‍♀️😁 So I do like both & think they‘re worth a try, but for sure no „dupe“ to the more common „gluteny“ stuff ^^ For general inspiration (just let me know and I‘ll send you some stuff, but I’m simply a foodie/homecook) two ppl I‘d reccomend are: Chetna Makan (mostly Indian food, but the cuisine is not only delicious, there are plenty of flatbreads made of chickpea flour) I have several cookbooks and love them very much ☺️ you‘ll easily find her blog and channel if you’re interested 😉 Strictly vegan but no less delicious are Nisha‘s recipes. (Google for rainbow plant life) The recipes/cuisine is very diverse, American, fusion, Italian and much more. She usually gives tips how to substitute stuff - especially concerning gluten Hope I could help a little bit and wish you, the little zoo and loved ones only the best ❤ take care!

I just just started watching Victoria Stilwell on KZread she’s a uk dog trainer and is wonderful but she gets very angry at dumb animal owners lol. Roxy is adorable we grew up with a black lab because my little sister fed him at the park and he followed us home. A guy in a red truck dropped him off and left and when we took to the vet the dog had a old injury someone broke his jaw so he had a crooked mouth but he was the best dog ever however he wasn’t chill like Roxy if you opened the door he would bolt. He always came back but that was hard.

Im not very good at dog training but I focus on the important stuff like sit, come, and exercise I got a puppy last year who is Mastiff × Great Dane, this year i got a puppy Great Dane. You're probably right that I should've waited 😅 honestly though my older girl was much easier than the Dane but hopefully that turns around since she's so food motivated. I will have a 140# black dog on each arm and I love ❤ it

Late to the comments, but I have IBS. I had to go through the low FODMAP diet to figure out what triggered my body. One of the things you need to cut out during elimination is a lot of gluten products. I moved to brown rice pasta and chickpea pasta (body is fine with chickpeas in pasta form). King Arthur Baking has a good gluten free recipe for bread and Iowa Girl Eats has a gluten free pizza crust recipe (King Arthur Baking too). I totally understand the pain of trying to eat things you love so much but cause so much pain. That's me with my lactose intolerance that I found out I had through low-FODMAP and how I can't have beans anymore. The pain is excruciating and takes days to go away.

Have you been tested for Celiac disease? If not you should get tested asap. You need to be consuming gluten for an accurate test result. Celiac and gluten intolerance are very different in terms of how careful you need to be in avoiding gluten (cross contact in cooking or storing for example). Even without a symptomatic reaction you could still be doing damage to your body when anything over 20ppm (a crumb the size of a pen tip) is consumed when you have celiac. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease that if not taken serious can lead to other autoimmune diseases and cancer. The initial diagnoses is done by a blood test followed by a scope if blood test is positive. As there is no medication that helps celiac disease. As for gluten free food; pasta doesn't reheat well so don't make more that can be eaten right away, bread goes stale fast so keep in the freezer and only take out what's needed when you need it, and with baking gluten free flour doesn't absorb liquid as well so let the mixture sit for 30ish minutes before baking.. The USA labeling laws suck so it's hard to know if gluten is hiding in other ingredients such as yeast extract (in Canada it must say if it contains gluten but the downside is all gluten free food here is way more expensive). Also the USA laws on oats make products with oats (such as Cheerios) unsafe unless CERTIFIED (not just labeled) Gluten Free. This doesn't matter as much with gluten intolerance as it does with celiac but some people are more sensitive than others. As someone who got diagnosed with celiac last fall even without really bad symptoms I was shock to learn how serious celiac disease is. Also celiac disease can "turn on" at any time if you carrying the genes. Being genetic it is also a good idea for family to get tested if you do have celiac disease. I hope this was somewhat helpful.
