@@AbominableIronSloth I think that gets captured pretty well in Dallas Beltway too. It's a horrifying song, yet there's a part where he asks if we want to see what's in his trunk, even though we full-well know exactly what's in that trunk. "Come on, fucker! Look at it! Look at it! Look at it!" We don't really want to look at it, but it digs at that awful, morbid curiosity that's in all of us.

There are very few bands I would say this about, but I think the drummer should use an E-kit or drum triggers and use the sounds from the record. Just gives it a different feel to have all the noisy cymbals and it stands out a bit less. Rare instance where it actually feels heavier with artificial sounds.

we actually practice/write with an e-kit and played our first 3-4 shows with one, it was just too hard for monitoring since we could never hear the drums on stage. most sound guys hated it also. we actually do have triggers on the bass drum and snare in this video though, its just obviously hard to tell on a phone recording. I agree though, we definitely prefer the artificial sound. hopefully at some point we can find a way to make it work a little better live.

@@luther.manhole have ya'll thought about bringing your own speaker to play the triggered sounds? There was this grindcore band that used to play around Chicago a couple years back and they put triggers on kick hihat and snare. They just put a big ass cheap speaker in front of their kick and basically blended it with their live drum sound. Was super cool!

According to the band, final recordings were just sent to their record label (The Flenser). That’s the latest I’ve heard. They’re playing a few shows this fall, and I’m looking forward to seeing them at the No Coast Fest soon. Maybe they’ll play a few new tracks. Also, check their Bandcamp for a new track “Brutal Truth” and a cover of Sepultera’s “Roots Bloody Roots”.
