After finding more issues a decision was made to just scrap the entire air ride suspension and just go with static lowering.

I would have ditched that air ride kit much earlier then you did. Kudos to you for sticking with it. But I think you/Chris made the right choice in the end. The rear-end looks really solid. Look forward to more, if there is any. Be safe and stay well.

He had so much money tied up in that stuff I just couldn’t let myself quit back when we first ran into issues. I really didn’t want to see him lose a bunch of money like that. It’s really a bad deal.

I hear ya. I've been deep into a project, both time and money wise, and wanted to prove to myself and others I could finish it. But ultimately there comes a time when you have reach that 'what am I doing?' moment like you did and realize it can't be saved or completed. Kudos to you and Chris for seeing that before you went even further.

Pretty stoked to see more progress on this frame swap project! 😊 Taking notes on what you’re finding that works and doesn’t work 👍🏻

Lol after I talked to you in Bristol I told my buddies that you had a Herbert shirt on that I hadn’t seen in many years. I worked for Doug for several years and I really miss not having that place around.

I can’t help but think about a kid saving up him money to bag his truck and this garbage is what he ends up with. It’s pretty sad.

Well the good thing is that nobody died. Had to change direction but you got it done. Less things to go wrong with the static drop in my opinion.

Wish I saw this earlier. I ordered this same kit and I'm waiting on it to be shipped. Hopefully you got a dud. I'll definitely mount it to the diff then let if fall wherever it falls.

They actually sent out replacement lower bag mounts after I had to play games with them for two weeks. Another guy found this video and his were the same garbage I started with. I ended up just mailing those new lowers to him. They were a far better design and better quality. Good luck with yours, let me know how yours goes. Thanks for watching.

@@LeftForDeadGarage Yeah, I saw that part of your video. I'll definitely keep you posted lol. I have zero welding skills, but have a buddy who can if I need. I thought this bolt on option would be good. I guess we'll see. Thanks for the reply
