We don’t get much repetition in the Valigrunt Shop as we custom build cars to each clients individual dream. Having said that, Chassis rail repairs in Chrysler Valiants are a very common job around here.
Shane runs through why the Valiant is so notorious for rotting out in the chassis rail and how we repair them now. No longer do we use a chassis rail sleeve like in the “good ole days”. Now it is all about repairing these chassis’ correctly, making sure they regain their structural integrity, are straight and even with the other side and of course look like we were never there in the first place; like nothing was repaired.
Of course it isn’t just the Valiants that need this kind of repair, sometimes there are extensive repairs required after a car has had a serious collision and those that have been attacked by rust. Keeping this in mind the chassis repair on this VF Sedan is probably one of the most extensive and largest areas we have had to carry out, as such we thought this one would be a good example for us to show you how we do it.
