MattDogMulligan, I'm not a hater. I love Adam and he's one of my favorite KZreadrs. I just wanted to point that out since I felt like OP missed that. I don't have any problems with 10 min videos. I even have Adam as a whitelisted channel on my adblocker.

@Adam LZ 3inch turbo back with a 3'' muffler if u like the high pitch , 4.5" muffler if u like deep sound. adding a high flow straight through resonator in midpipe will get rid of any drone . thats how they get that sound. anything else is depends on the turbo setup :)

@@goofofffFor lower db readings, the smallest pipe u can get away with is used, trying to minimize back pressure and maximize performance , so its setup dependant, based on exhaust gas volume. But the tip size can be used to tune sound even further. Considering it can be equal or more to the turbo back pipe size to avoid being a restriction. , Generally small pipe get a crisper,clearer, snappy and rev happy sound which sounds loud from its higher tone. Bigger pipe sounds deeper, echoy and lazier which you can feel rumbling like a subwoofer. Resonators can be used to remove drone and resonance. Mufflers are to reduce overall db. Small pipe sounds annoying, while bigger pipe feels annoying to people, if it makes sense.

@@DamianosJDM thanks for the reply. I've always aimed for deeper sound with nice resonance. I've got 3" all the way, no cat or resonator. Recently got 3" mufflers upgrading from 2.5", I would have gone larger if I knew about it sounding deeper. 1jz

Mack Katzel Adam works on it and does what Nicole wants done on it. Also the 1jz is the only stock car that’s really able to be the daily. The truck is big and difficult to park and the gt350 is also big and is probably difficult to drive

Hey Adam. You are right about removing the resonator on Nicole's car to make it have a more raspy tone. When added to cars, they make the engine tone sound deeper. I.e. Older and even newer muscle cars use resonators to make the engine have a more throaty sound

Technically they did 1JZ swap the 240... Nicole's 240. Lol I had to. That said, he needs to get rid of the SR, and a JZ series engine is a great choice. Look at Nicole's car. He thrashed on that at the last event, and the only thing that happened was cosmetic damage. The 1JZ took it and asked for more. It doesn't hurt that it's also mostly stock, compared to Adam's built/stroked/top-mount-single-turbo-swapped SR20, and only makes like 100 less HP. You could easily get pretty close if not equal to that with a tune and more boost on the 1JZ. Or just tune it for E85. Lol.

yeah and?? it makes zero sense on a drift car. actually these days a bee r makes not much sense on anything unless ya just trying to be the cool kid at the local carpark on a budget. best off getting a decent aftermarket computer with the capability built in but even then i would only enable it if you're going to make use of it for what it is supposed to be used for. if ya want big bangs and cracks from a drift car ya better of setting up anti-lag than a 2 step

It’s definitely the resonator. You also have to take into account the type of material, thickness of the material, and bends. This goes for every piece of the exhaust including the header. Every metal and thickness of the metal resonates differently.

*just run an external gate on Nicole’s 240 for maximum is rowdyness*

A lot of parts on Nicole’s car are very hard to find and expensive, like her side markers that got destroyed in the crash are extremely hard as Adam quotes in the video he installed them on. They are OEM 240 parts (talking about fenders) which are hard to find genuine ones. If he rushed and bought fake ones he risks them not fitting and wasting money and time...
