Chasing the Iowa River Railroad
Chasing the Iowa River Railroad with a pair of GP38-2s wearing an Arizona and California Railroad inspired scheme. They operate on about six miles of track between an ethanol plant just north of Steamboat Rock to their yard in Ackley where they interchange with CN. Also seen is the ethanol plant's switcher, an SW1200.

Very nice video.
Great catch! The SW1200 was a bonus! 🙂
Love the Prime 920's on 3802
4206 is a new unit. It used to be 3004, but it was having issues in late 2023 so they bought 4206 to replace it. It definitely has a great RS3L!
Nice coverage of a rather obscure line and talk about a lonely feeling no cars or Farms really visible! Taking the tank cars inside looks a bit strange Their switcher looks like it was modified for use in a steel mill such as Dofasco in Hamilton Ontario. With the flat cam roof
Muy buen video Excelente estimado amigo Like 👍🏻 merecido, un saludo 👋🏻 😊
Nice catch. Didn't know about the ethanol plant switcher! In 2014 I caught them heading north with the old GP30 3004, just uploaded that video for the 10th anniversary last month.
Another awesome video from this railroad operation. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend. Steve
