And i see u said u 2 r talking again we did to after 3 4 years of silence but inevitably after another 2 to 3 years of talking leading me on saying she wanted to try she wanted to meet up with me but gave me every excuse why she couldn't she used me ti make her self feel better when she was feeling low and I did exactly that treated her like a queen that wasnt mine and told her how gorgeous she was and how she was to die for but now we r back ti silence even tho silence filled the chat rooms between us when we did talk cuz she only talk to me maybe once twice a week if i was lucky I begged for her attention and the full circle came around alright she treated me how i treated her towards the end of our releationship just cold but whats fucked up she died it worse ten fold what i ever did to her I wanted to make amends but she chose something that was certain not as good as me and i say that honestly he cheats on her lies to her and I make have not gave her as much attention as i shoild have but I never cheated i never hurt her like that hearing ur comment has me balling to this song cuz god i just want that pain to end ppl say time will heal all scars but it dont seem like time is doing what its suppose to do and im left asking will i ever get over u ? Idk I'm a mess

Keep in mind he's singing about a man who killed the love the woman had for him. That's what I think I'm going through now. My ex just reached out after I spent years TRYING. Willing to fight his demons beside him, the ghost of his ex that traumatised him. Instead he chose to screw me over.

It’s been almost 13 years and she’s still the only one I have ever truly loved. I think about her everyday she has a family now but I can’t help but wonder what could’ve been and what one day I hope still can be. Gotta have hope it’s all I got!

I feel this comment! Completely understand! I fell for a woman 25 yrs ago, she was my best friend! She is still my best friend, however, she got married 22 yrs ago, I was never invited into that part of her life! Then one day, she shows up with a kid and a ring, 2 yrs after she had been married! Love the words, love his voice etc. but after reading all the comments I realized there were some people on here that needed to hear that you do find a new normal. That even tho you feel like you will never find love again , that you will never be able to love someone else the way you love him or her? You will. He or she was meant to be a part of your story, they just weren’t meant to be in the entire book....

My main point is, this song speaks true to those who has lost someone they cared about and are now separated and are thinking about their past life. I love this song. It is beautifully written, nice tune, and best of all its sincere. I wonder why sometimes we're blinded to the truth and believe the lies people tell us when we know the truth is so far away from what is said. We want to believe every word that our hearts crave. Actions don't match their words, yet somehow we twist them and we lie to ourselves then everything you believed in yesterday is completely shattered and opposite of what we believed. I sure know that, when its broken it's broken 💔 and that is really hard to get over it, its easy for people to say let them live it and see how 🤔 they feel not to good. Its gone to take time to make it on the side be with good friends and family and go with your heart ❤️ take care and keep god and faith close to your heart and soul you will be 👍

8 year relationship and she met someone new behind my back. I forgave her but she still chooses meeting others. So heart breaking. In tears

I loved her no matter what came up. Never ever thought about leaving her because i believed that my love for her would ALWAYS outweigh what problems arose. Hope she realizes how there were more good times than bad. If i could still speak to her, I’d tell her to imagine when she thought our love was at its peak. That burning love. Now imagine it now when the issues we broke up for aren’t there anymore. And I’m 1000x better than the person you fell in love with. Imagine that. She’s still in my prayers every single night.

I didn’t think I was ever good enough for him he told me he liked me then we got to talking and we were best friends then one day he just never texts me back. Yes it hurts because I care so much for him ! I helped him out all the time but at the end of the day if he really cares he will show you or tell you. And never let someone else make you feel your not worth it you are!!

I was in this same situation, loved a guy more than life and he left, came back whenever he wanted to and I let him, until the day I decided that I didn't want him anymore. It was difficult to let go. Now I am in a very happy and stable relationship from last 3 years. I just want to say that it was so worth it, you'll find somebody who is right for you, until then polish yourself, work on yourself. Become the best version of yourself so that nobody, literally nobody can afford to lose a person like you.

This song is how I felt everytime I lost my boyfriend to the horrible disease of addiction. I loved him no matter what he did and when he was out in the world I wished he missed me enough to come home where he was safe. ❤️

Wow here i was thinking im the only one dealing with that, feeling that me and his kids are not good enough that that crap is better thab his family it hurts so bad dealt with it for approx 6 years on and off. I can honestly just say thank you to the lord for putting him on the right path and making him choose his family instead of drugs. Hes clean now for about 6 months still have thaughts somedays cause as u know a relapse takes a second but fingers crossed its done for good... Wish u all the happiness and that u will get chosen instead of that nonsense ❤

Letting them go is painful but it's even more painful holding them back when we know they don't have the same love anymore. Cherishing the memories is better I guess.
