I'd say a big Negatoree on that. Regardless of what type of probably illegal laws are on the books written by our non-representatives in Congress, it probably has more to do with the interest on your money that you are not getting most likely and the fact that the higher the deposits they have, the more money the bank can loan out.

@@robertbrown6879 Banks don't use their deposits to loan money from. New money is literally created when a bank originates a loan. To adjust their loan to deposit ratio, banks sell their excess loans to each other. This is the house of cards Ponzi scheme that inspired the concept of "too big to fail'. With a failure of a large bank bringing the down the entire industry. I am, of course, oversimplifying the Federal Reserve banking system a bit.

We fail to realize that banks are commercial enterprises that are driven by greed as well. The over-leveraging of assets by banks starting in 2020 was one of the factors that led to SVB's collapse. I've never felt secure keeping a large sum of money in a bank. The lady at the teller next to me was scared as her life savings was with them. And the guy you could hear at the drive-up was really pissed. For months you could only use drive-up or ATM without an appointment so you couldn’t get to your safe deposit either. We all have to realize that just because we make deposits at these institutions, the funds are not really there. They are not at your branch for when you want or need them. It's called "conversion" of your money, the civil law definition of theft. It's an unfair trade practice in some states, which allows recovery of treble damages and attorney's fees. Banks are not able to invoke "civil forfeiture" at your expense and their gain. If you live in Hawaii you may be able to sue in federal court in Hawaii, which will result in a quicker resolution that you might think, particularly if you style it as a class action suit on behalf of yourself and the other 11,000 victims.

I just found that out today I watch the video did not know that when you sign that paperwork that you basically signing your money over to them so if it was something like a bail-in, not a bailout but a bail-in and it's going to happen that they can literally honestly legally take your money and they could give you some at their discretion and amount that they want you to have or not give you any at all and it's going to happen if you just look at what's going on in the world how they are telling people they don't have to pay rent if they can't afford it now in the homeowners is losing their property the government for closing on their properties and so when I tell you is getting real I'm going to suggest that you only have enough money in your bank account that you need monthly all you don't need you take out only put in what you need for that month only so get your bank account that has no minimum you it don't matter if you only have $1 in there at the end of the month or $0.20 it don't matter you need a bank account like that cuz you only need to put in what you need for that month because something serious is going to happen and it's going to be worse than the old 8 claps trust what I'm saying I'm not in finance or trust what I'm saying please cuz when that happened you go remember this if you read this you going to remember that I told you this

I had my Chase accounts frozen, and had the hardest time contacting Chase and finding out why. After a day or so, I found out that just online access was frozen, and I could still bank at a branch. The reason probably was that I had used a VPN and logged into my account from an IP address that Chase thought suspicious. The whole experience was stressful and disruptive.

Neil McCoy-Ward attempted to access his bank account and the teller said no such account. His accounts were all closed and there was no reason given. The guy is rich so the bank had stolen a lot of his money, most likely because of his KZread videos. When talking with the teller, he asked if this had ever happened before and she chuckled and said "Oh, it happens all the time."

Joe Biden started in politics as a white racist but now he is putting up a show as a politician caring about the rights of black people. The founder of The Bank of The Manhattan Company, which later became The Chase Manhattan Bank, started the bank by screwing up poor people's opportunity to have clean water to fight a disease outbreak caused by dirty water. Now Chase Bank's CEO is putting up a show as a banker who cares about the right of the poor black people. During an epidemic of yellow fever in 1798, Aaron Burr established the Manhattan Company, with the OSTENSIBLE aim of bringing clean water to the city from the Bronx River but in fact, designed as a front for the creation of New York's second bank, rivaling Alexander Hamilton's Bank of New York. From September 1, 1799, to 1955, it was called The Bank of The Manhattan Company (New York); after a 1955 merger with the Chase National Bank (which existed separately from 1877 to 1954) it was called The Chase Manhattan Bank.

Hey, nice vid! Listen, you mentioned in your vid that one reason for chase to close accounts is if you make too many international wires? So, i need to know if someone lives outside the usa and needs to do monthly wires to feed his account. What would you suggest in that case? i live overseas and plan to open an account. The only way for me to put money is via an international wire. Thanks.

Wow, this is very eye opening. They can't just close an account, not give a reason, and withhold someone's money. Unreal. The sad thing is that they are bigger than the judicial system. They could care less if you sue them. They are one of the richest companies in the nation, with a $500 billion net worth. It wouldn't be worth your time to get a tiny bit of pity money from them in court. Let it go, send them what they need to get your money, and be at peace knowing you are free from that financial relationship.

Actually any banque can close your account with them and not tell you why, but they need to give you your money in at least a cashier's cheque within 2 weeks. If the belive there is fraud, they are required to report that to the appropriate agency for investigation. The account would be given over in an "escrow" account - I.e. Removed from the banque altogether. The involved person would be contacted by the investigating agency. Sounds to me as if Chase is just making its own rules!

Thanks for sharing your story, and I'm glad you got back your money. I am having a similar situation right now. I live in a small town in AR, where there is no Chase branch nearby. Chase also required me to go to a branch to provide my ID documents. Otherwise, they won't send my money back. I think this is a discrimination issue. Specifically, Chase discriminates against people who live in rural areas. Almost all Chase branches are in big cities. I understand that they require customers to go to their branches to verify their identity for safety concerns. But rural customers need to spend more time and travel fees to visit their branches just because of Chase's inability (or unwillingness) to have branches in rural areas. This is unfair to rural people. Chase invites rural people to open accounts and holds their money but does not want to provide equal service to rural people. Chase just takes advantage of rural people's inconvenience in accessing their bank branches. This is definitely discrimination. To solve this issue, Chase could simply develop a better verification system for both rural and city people. Or, Chase could let people in rural areas know they require people to go to Chase branches to verify their identities BEFORE PEOPLE OPEN THE ACCOUNTS and DEPOSIT MONEY to that account. Or, Chase could just say they do not want to do business with rural people. Unfortunately, Chase did nothing to revise their discriminating so-called safety rules. I wonder, is there anyone who wins the lawsuit against Chase? I am considering filing a lawsuit, so I want to get some experience. Thanks in advance!
