Great video, honestly kinda surprised me. For the longest time Boon felt like a very strange charm that I wasn't always sure was worth it, but seeing the numbers I guess it's better than I gave it credit for. Probably just the bias of it not being one of mine, although it might've been because it went through a lot of numbers changes in development and I didn't follow them too well. It's got it's weird little trade offs that I still question if people actually enjoy, but they do add personality to it and it's a cool charm. I said it before but those pixel art representations look great! Made me realize that the Pure Blasts have little spikes on em. In-case anyone was wondering, the names in the video aren't technically what the dev team has referred to them as, but they might as well be the canon names now, they're good descriptors. Random Development Tidbit: The charm really hadn't changed much through development as far as I know, it used to be 5 notches tho iirc. At one point Pure Blast was a single hitbox and animation, it was practically identical to shriek, I really like the touch up Hoo gave it although it seem a tad awkward at times. At one point I had proposed an idea for Pure Pillars where it'd be a couple individual pillars that'd spawn directly underneath enemies and actually "impale" them and root them in place, but this was decided against as it'd be very awkward in practice and we wanted a more "straight forward" charm so to say.

I think the numbers are definitely balanced out a bit (perhaps a little more than I represented in the video) by the fact they can be a little more awkward to use, daggers you need to be close range, pillars give enemy some s, blast can be pretty tricky to land all hits of. But I agree, it makes them more interesting that you have to play around them a bit and have a few trade-offs. Similar to purity and bloom - this charm feels like it rewards you for playing well - perfect for a late game addition. and besides, they can be THAT awkward if I managed to beat a Ze'mer for the 1st time while testing it (just got hegy and dryya to go now!)

I absolutely love Abyssal Bloom. Overpowered but it just shreds enemies to pieces.

@@hi28 Oh I just used debug to test something out earlier and forgot to reset it back to the original amount 😅

This is probably the coolest charm in the mod, the cost does bring it down a bit but becoming pure vessel is well worth the cost. Also i never knew that i-frame thing with the pure dive, used to swing at the boss during it but now i know better.

Yeah I definitely did a double take when I discovered they weren't taking damage! but hey at least now I know to run for my god damn life after I do it for a few seconds XD

You basically become pure vessel in a way.

i kinda wish that boon did some special combination with flukenest, like maybe instead of daggers you get some similar to pure vessels void tendril attack
