The bed is the head and foot board to a bed. It could look beautiful if cleaned. It would be a pity to split it. You would need to make side boards to connect top and bottom with a ledge along the inside to screw slats into to support the mattress. It would be a great investment once restored and beautiful in a guest room dressed with lovely linens. I am very envious you can buy something so beautiful for such a low price ❤❤❤

Lucky you! What a fun shopping spree! Yes, the bed has two parts: headboard and footboard. It doesn't matter that you are using the footboard as a headboard. No one will know. Just be sure you mount it high enough so it doesn't get swallowed up by the pillows. It is so beautiful. I'm jealous!!

What you have purchased for a headboard is a footboard. The Larger piece is the headboard. It would be beautiful if you put the whole set together. If you do not, using the footboard as a headboard may have to be adjusted to accept the mattress and frame. It may be set too low. I love the little chair. You have excellent taste, and I'm sure you will make things beautiful, just like your garden.

Maybe something traditional to the Lake Como, Belano area for the kitchen floor. The bathroom you have so many as well. Alla, you need to go get the headboard, you bought the footboard, which you can use, but it's shorter in height and length, and you will have to watch the pillow height. Alla, I hope you go back and get the headboard that goes with the footboard you bought. I'm sur it looks really big to you but by the time you get wooden slats and then the mattress and sheets, comforter and a throw blanket and pillows-- the ones with pillow cases and pillows with pretty materials compliment a color in your head&footboards it will calm some of the designs in the headboard. Also a footboard with the headboard will make your bed very stable--won't bounce around when you turnover in bed or when you jump in bed! LOL The KZread videos for Chateau Diaries and Chateau love have incredible beds like the footboard you purchased in their bedrooms and it makes the whole room so very special. Then other decorations will compliment the bed. So beautiful. I can't wait to see your rooms! Love you Alla

Love the footboard but that’s what it is. At that price you need to go back and get the headboard. It’s a lovely set that needs to stay together. A metal bed frame could connect them. A Hollywood frame is what they are called. I’ve done that when the side rails were missing. Look around for them in the shop.

Beautiful shopping haul. Can you use the rectangular stone tiles found at the building suppliers? They could run from your kitchen to the base of your stairs. They would match your stone staircase and could be used on each landing. ❤

Have you considered limestone flooring for the kitchen? I am sure you will easily find that in Italy and it would be traditional and would add light to the kitchen. It is easy to look after so long as you seal it before laying and then seal a few times after laying and reseal after a few years. We went to buy limestone for our kitchen this week and I was given a good tip for cleaning limestone and keeping the grout clean - rather than use a mop and water use a spray bottle filled with stone cleaner and a mop with a removable microfibre pad which you can wash .

As others mentioned you purchased the footboard. May want to consider going back for the headboard. Unless it’s too short, that table with the marble top would make a really nice vanity in one of the bathrooms.

I won’t repeat the same comment about the head and foot boards, however I agree. :). My 2 cents for the flooring in the kitchen is to keep it as traditional materials as possible stone or terracotta. Just be aware that if it is stone, plates/glassware will break more easily, if the fall onto the floor. In general there’s less breakage with terracotta tiles and obviously the ease of maintenance and cleaning. I am certain that you will pick out something beautiful!
