Charlo knows he lost that fight. He did not do enough to win this fight. The judges gifted him like 2 rounds at least. Even though Charlo is clearly bigger, taller and heavier that Castano, he lost. Still a good fight though.

I thought Castano did enough to get the win here. In this fight Charlo went with a lot of power jabs which made him predictable - he threw very few half length jabs, which would have given him room to land his right. Charlo was much better with his jab in the rematch. Varied it nicely & used it as a throw-away punch to set up his power-shots a lot more than in the 1st fight. I'd like to see these two go at it a 3rd time. Their styles mesh very well.

Castano won the mental game against charlo, that's why charlo was backing himself to the ropes

Castaño and Catteral the uncrowned undisputed champs. They will never get their names in the history books but real ones know they belong. Charlo may have KO'ed him in the 2nd fight but he belongs on that list of undisputed champs. Charlo beat an undisputed champ rather than being the first.

Rematch was still a really good fight tbh. Charlo just learned more from the first fight than Castano did. Didnt get caught up in silly exchanges as much, jabbed more, maintained better range, etc. Little Charlo got a dog in him and he got sucked into a war in the first fight, which is Castano's whole game. He boxed smarter this time round and it paid huge dividends.

I've noticed a habit among commentators. Theyt pretty much tell the truth the first half of a fight when the home boy is losing but in the last half they start giving the home boy rounds he didn't win and they begin saying things that support the home boy. It feels as if they know the home boy will be gifted a fairly close fight so they begin to match their scoring and their comments to that end. They may be told by someone off camera to start favoring the home boy in their commentary so that their rhetoric will match what has already been decided will be a win for the home guy. Al Bernstein does that all of the time, go back and listen to the last 5 rounds. The unofficial scorer did the same thing. He had Castano ahead by 4 with 4 rounds left but he gave all of the last 4 rounds to Charlo. Charlo won the10th but Castano won the 9th, both 11 and 12 were close. I had it about 7-4-1 for Castano.

@@roybibbins3273 I'm not Mexican so you fail in your criticism. You look at the 9th round again, I'll let you be the judge. Castano did the same as in all the rounds leading up to the 9th. He landed shots several times as he put constant pressure on Charlo. Charlo landed very few punches, missing and getting them blocked when he threw. If the scorer had given Castano the 9th, he would have had a score of 79 to 74, a 5 round lead with 3 to go. That puts the fight out of reach for Charlo, unless he scored a couple knockdowns or a KO. He wasn't willing to give Castano that 5 point lead, because he had to keep Charlo in the fight somehow. It's all home fighter bullshit. Listen to the commentators telling the truth during the 9th round. They had Castano winning, making the same comments they made in all of the previous rounds. Charlo wasn't doing enough, his corner knew it, the commentators knew it, and the fans in attendance knew it. Can you honestly say that Castano didn't win that fight? Charlo hurt him twice, didn't follow up, didn't put him down, and won 4 rounds total at best. The other rounds were a copy of each other, Charlo fought scared and defensive, landing few counters.

I give Castano all the credit in the world for his heart, his toughness, good at breaking his opponents range (+ he lets his hands go) but he didn't win this fight , it was a draw.

Great fight but Castano won. He was the aggressor & did more damage. Charlo had 2 dominant rounds where Castano was hurt & I thought he might knock him down. However, Charlo was gifted rounds at the end he didnt deserve. This was not a draw & boxing politics has destroyed what was once a great sport. So many robberies nowadays it takes the fun out of it seeing a warrior battle & put his life on the line & win only to get robbed. It's unfortunate

Castano should've chose to go with Reyes "the punchers gloves" trust me there's a difference. I would have given myself every permissible advantage against someone of Charlo's caliber. Especially because the difference in overall size is noticeable with Jermell being the more imposing bigger guy.
