Charlo just reminded me why how good he is technically. Great balance. Great shot selection. Sturdy chin. Good power. Just an allaround solid fighter who apparently can go rounds & throw bunches of combinations. Glad he's back....he needs to be fighting consistently. That's the best cure for those personal problems

honestly Jermall looked damn impressive in his return. People think he just stopped fighting but nahhhh he stopped boxing and training all together, he wasn't in a good mental place before. His combos were insane, he had great slips and defensive instincts (not all the time but 90% of the time he was slipping and countering so clean), his power shots were beautiful, a little rusty, a little too chill, dude didn't really fight with urgency but all things considered it was a great comeback fight against a very game Jose. Another 2-3 warm ups against some good legit top 8 and he should be back in peak form.

Jermall came in with at least a 10-15 pound advantage Jose last fight was at 154 and made the contracted weight (163) at 161 pounds and was already hydrated meanwhile Jermal came in at 166.6 and probably rehydrated to almost 180 pounds. Jose a blown up 147 pounder with 1 leg 🦵 😂😂😂

Charlo is naturally a bigger man & it showed not just in size, but power. Benavidez's head would snap back everytime Charlo landed. When Benavidez would successfully land Charlo never seemed in danger.

It was less than a half-decent tune up for Charlo. Let’s face it. Josie jr is a lameduck tune up fight at welterweight, so He’s up barely a warm up coming up for Jermall. How does Jose Benavidez continue to get championship fights is beyond me. I haven't seen this guy win a fight in years.

Man I was so hype to see this fight, felt like Charlo fought for everyone dealing with their mental health. Seeing this performance gave me some motivation, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel! Dude is gonna be an absolute monster again once he gets back to camp & back to the discipline. Definitely the better twin imo. I hope whatever him & his twin got going on gets settled, that’ll just be the cherry on top. 🙌🏽

Only 3 lbs. Charlo was rusty and not in top shape. He'll be much sharper next fight. Just keep hoping . Lol

One can see the work Roy put in Charlo. Particular with the combination speed, lead left hooks and hooks to the body. Also he throws way more punches and combos than I remember. That's very good, he's going to need that especially against a David Benavidez. Just don't abandon yourself. You had a brilliant right hand, right uppercut, and right cross to the head and body, and a very good pull counter. Don't abandon your gifts for Roy's, just add to it and create a more complete style that way. Move to 168, stay in the gym, and stay active and the world will be your oyster. Stay out of the way. No parties, clubs, and alcohol for the next four years. Life begins at 40, now is the time to grind to make sure you can enjoy it when it begins

Man it's sad because Charlo has so much talent. I think he's the best combination puncher in boxing honestly. He has the perfect blend of power, speed, and counter punching. I remember in this fight he threw a jab, left hook, left uppercut combination multiple times and it was beautiful every time. I really hope he gets his mind right and gets back active. He was changing up his counter right uppercut into a counter over hand right and he rocked Jose a few times😭😭

This was a good welcome back fight for charlo. Tough but non threatening 😂

Jose boxing days are over. He only counts on not being knocked out. I understand Charlo came over the weight limit, but he did the same with Danny, taking punches 👊 . Totally outclassed. Nothing but a punching bag 🎒
