@@bertstareallday excellent question Bert! We looked it up and found nothing in the P4P rankings, as it is reserved for real boxers. Instead, we did an all time P4P ranking of fictional, make-believe and imaginary boxers. We thought Charlie would stack up well against a field of imaginary figments. We were wrong. The top 5 were Rocky Balboa, Joe Palooka, Ozark Ike, Drederick Tatum and Clubber Lang. Zelenoff was next to last in the rankings, just behind Glass Joe of Punch Out! fame and barely ahead of Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island.

The assault laws in America prevent assault charges from being pressed if the accused has material on his hands, regardless of whether the victim was hurt unlawfully or that he was attacked with intent to injure? That's crazy. In England, it wouldn't matter if someone had a de-padded glove on when he assaulted someone. If you spark someone here and the victim wants to press charges for assault, as long as they can prove they were physically assaulted then charges will be pressed. It doesn't matter that the fella had gloves on. I find it hard to believe it's different in America, because the law demands intent, which isn't negated by wearing gloves.
