It's funny how these woody guthrie, hippie types like the seegers took over as announcers at festivals in mid to late 60s with their "this machine kills fascists" stickers all over their instruments.

I'm an old Hippie; we hit Bluegrass Festivals wide open back in the day, and were welcomed. I preferred a more Alternative Bluegrass than the noise on this clip though.
