I actually have NOT been able to verify the historical 'facts' of the stuntman story and I think that'll be the focus of a blog post. Such a bummer when a good story lets ya down! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the journey! Additionally, I was NOT impressed by the MeVo. Such disappointment. I know it's really intended for having multiple people on screen, but It didn't handle even a single person well. Bummer, huh?

Maybe someone thought his stunt double was actually Chaplin. That would have been tragic!

Oh, like someone was after Chaplin, but killed his double instead? That's pretty much the exact theory behind the death (murder) of Thomas Ince by William Randolph Hearst. It's a great mystery of early Hollywood.... lots of theories and guesses that probably can't ever be totally proven.
