I have not been to that festival, but would love to attend. The gardens and the architecture in Charleston are magnificent! It is the #1 city to live in or visit, and wonderful hospitality!

Absolutely! The festival runs through August. Hopefully you can make a visit before then. And if not, it'll start again March next year :)

I guess I never realized it ran that long. I have been to Charleston in many different months, but prefer to avoid the July/August heavy heat/humidity season. I plan to live in the Lowcountry 8 months of the year (Charleston or Beaufort) - with the 4 months following Spoleto - on a lake in NH - to experience the best of both places. Tne homes & gardens I have explored are simply magnificent - unlike any I have seen, the closest being the festival in Natchez, MS, but the homes are not all within walking distance, but very beautiful - though Natchez is no Charleston!

Wow, look at all the guests on tour dressed well. I always dress like this (when appropriate, an outdoors hike or remote trading post requires different clothes), too, whenever I tour as a show of respect for the places I visit as well as myself. I would never think to show up to someone's beautiful historic home (or church!) dressed like a slob that just rolled out of bed like way too many others do.

I think I've been treated mice everywhere and I'm 76 years of age and nothing out there has ever impressed me other than the Cyclorama that's a Grant Park in Atlanta Georgia the war between the states yeah I can you imagine that

Is this even put on in the fall, where hopefully masks won't have to be worn!

This event is held March to August every year but masks are not required as of now in the City of Charleston :)
