This will make me seek out the many otherEnglish composers from early 19century till the many gifted women born in early20th century.

Its happening to me also. Stanford knew what he was doing. I'd wager many people prefer this to the ultra serious concerti. Perfect music for easy listening it flows, each idea related to before and after. It never overwhelms us. Nor shakes its fingers at us.

I agree. I'm really happy I've found it myself. It's a wonderful antidote to French and German composers of this time!

Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past !

Wonderful in its way.A Charming ease.Wasshoc ked when i saw its 1894 date. It wears better thsn the fake monsters ofAnton Rubinstein and so many others.Sounds like a tamer,English less naturally gifted Saint-Saens. Too tepid ,doesn't really travel stats on the street but here it is played soSo well because today's artista are better trained than ever!
