I recently told you about the altarpiece in the exhibition devoted to Van Eyck's Virgin of the Chevalier Rollin at the Louvre, which introduced us to Flemish art in the 15th century.
Remaining in the same artistic period, today I take you to the Musée de Cluny, which showcases the flourishing arts of the reign of Charles VII.
The Musée de Cluny highlights a pivotal moment in history and art history, that of the reign of Charles VII (1422-1461).
Before giving you my opinion on this exhibition, let's see how the reign of Charles VII, which took place during a troubled period, bore the seeds of the extraordinary artistic revival of the late 15th century, heralding the sumptuous period of the Renaissance.

Cluny Museum
9.30am - 6.15pm every day except Monday.
Ticket office closes at 5.30pm. Evacuation from 5.45pm.
Nocturnes on 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 6.15pm to 9pm (ticket office closes at 8.30pm).
Closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25. Exceptional closing at 5pm on December 24 and 31.
