Charles Barkley HEATED game vs Oakley, then chases the referee into the locker room (01/18/1993)

Спорт

Charles Oakley and Barkley is one of NBA greatest rivalries in my opinion. Both are some of the strongest men in the league and they would always get into altercation on and off the court.

Funny as both are Charles, both are something-KLEY, both were Power Forwards, both were stubborn like hell, both physical, both would never refuse a good brawl. How I would love to have both as my teammates to go to war. 😉

It looks like Barkley was fouled on that 3 pt shot. Notice how it was a good 3-4 feet short. Knicks often get the calls, certainly this was case when Pat Riley was their coach. Thank you for posting this, Bball Vault!

LOL!! I was actually at this game--clearly remember Barkley jumping onto the scorers table. (NOBODY like Sir Charles--he played with balls-out intensity every second!!)

Everytime they say current NBA players are more athletic, jumps higher, and score more efficiently, I look at Charles Barkley. Not the most athletic looking. Handles like a PG, undersized, but still plays PF. Physical but still has a soft touch to shoot mid range and also post. That's what happens when the league are too careful with their players. Look at Kawhi. All the load management in the world didn't save him from a partial torn ACL.

back in the days, I was proud of my Knicks, but looking back, Oakley and Mason couldn't guard Chuck. But what pissed me off the most was my Knicks got robbed by having Charles Smith on the team, the boy had terrible hands and terrible sense of the game. he caused us a ring by being blocked twice on a same play by Pippen. Never forget.

guys i watched 80s 90s basketball ,, and looking back the ball doesn't move at all, the offense was stagnat in one on one basketball and this game is a perfect example of that, i really loved the physicality of the era , but the offense was really bad..todays offense schemes would destroy 90s defenses,, just for the fact that todays players are more of shooting from everywhere on the court and all five can shoot from everywhere...

Whenever we bring this youngsters are tripping so bad, they still think that nobody can any longer dominate the game like LeBron, Steph and KD. When I am telling them to imagine the league with these guys they can not beleive that there could be competition. Its no longer imaginable, I think we lost generation. None of them accept that guys like Ron Harper or Kevin Johnson can beat offensively guys like Curry and the rest of small ball lineup guards in todays NBA. And here we can see that both Barkley and Oakley are build like linebackers. Who can guard Barkley in todays NBA? This dude would just go for 30 and 25, 4 assists and 4 blocks.
