Looks good. I went with the Fronius WattPilot 22Go - it was pricey but very functional giving 22kw off 3 phase, but just run it off my single phase at home at 7kw. It’s detachable for road trips, but yet to find a four pin plug to use it yet.

How do you have it at home, you don't have three phase wiring/sockets there? What I like about the charger I reviewed is that they make a 22 kW version and it's very compact.. I currently have it in my car all the time. I can't decide which one to keep in my car permanently though, because I like having all versions but it does take up some space. I currently have a single phase 5m, a three phase 5m, the three phase Daolar 10m and a 5m 11 kW Type 2 cable in my car. And I also have a 3 phase and a single phase extension cord, in case I need to charge at the cabin for example. I admit it's a bit much. 😄

Just a momentary mention of the "at home" connection needed. Almost no home in North America has 3 phase power! We almost all have split single phase from the street. Only streets that serve industrial sites have 3 phase available.

Hi, it's almost the exact opposite in Europe, every house has a 3 phase connection. Even village houses typically have at least an 11kW/400V/3x16A socket, which they used to use for example to connect a mixer when building or a saw to cut wood. It's a pity the US mainly just has the slower two phase connections, but Daolar has a solution for that too, check out their US site ( shrsl.com/4d7a8 ). It's great that they offer solutions for all regions.

If you include the UK in Europe, your statement is wrong. UK houses do not have 3 phase, they have single phase. All these wonderful Greenies don't have a clue about electricity and that is the big problem.@@siasek

Hi, perhaps I should've written "in most places in Europe, outside the UK." I didn't include the UK in my mind when I wrote this, precisely because of these differences in electrical installation, but my comment still holds up for the majority of Europe

Hi, so just to confirm this will need us to have the three power socket? Also if you use this on byd atto3 does it get to 7kwh and not go any higher?

Hi, it depends on what version of the Atto 3 you have - the Active version only has a 1-phase 7 kW (32A) on-board charger, the higher versions have an 11 kW 3-phase charger (3x16A) and it also depends on the region you live in. If you connect the reviewed charger to a BYD Atto 3 with a 7 kW charger it will only charge 1x16A = 3,6 kW because it can't charge 1x32A (7 kW). But if you connect it to an Atto3 that has a 3-phase on-board charger it will charge up to 3x16A/11kW. If you don't have a 3- phase socket, you can use an adapter on this charger, the charger is universal. Adapter: shrsl.com/4da81

@@siasek hi thanks for the reply, in Australia both the atto 3 versions seem to be 7 kW on AC. Also assuming we are using just the wall plug in Australia with the adapter it takes us to 3.5 kw? Can I also please ask if you have Australian site links as these are all European plugs, and will need another Australian/ European adaptor (two adaptors)
