Characteristics of Seafood Distribution Consumption and Related Food Loss in Japan: Can IT Help?

The 5th Online Seminar by Faculty of Agriculture "Thinking about food loss"
Dr. Yagi explained that, because seafood distributors and retailers pay a higher attention to the cost effectiveness of their operations rather than full use of landed seafood, some low priced products are left at landed port and unused. IT solutions to directly connect fishers and consumers to reduce such food loss are discussed.
