This has got to be one of the best character trailers in a little while. The it clearly goes through her kit and how it might work, displays her personality and interests, and who she is in the world. lovely direction.

Aesthetically she’s one of my favourites and so sly and playful the developers really nailed her character!

I once had my comment copy/lasted by a bot 10 seconds after I posted. My original comment had about 50 likes by the end of the day and the bot copy had a around 10k and someone accused me of being the bot. They are getting really annoying.

Technically Genshin is an isekai, isn't it? Traveler is from another world and dropped into the "different world" that is Teyvat. I don't think there's an actual requirement for the MC to be from present-day earth in particular?

They actually made the shrine maiden seem like an actual character with the animated facial expressions, and not some random NPC. This demo's soo cool! I feel like people tend to forget that Yae is also a writer/editor, this demo really showed her editor of Yae publishing house side, and less of a shrine maiden or a Guuji and miko. Also that smug laugh though 1:25

@@harleynguyen5301 well yes but no, what i meant is that she looks more realistic then other NPCs in a cutscene, usually they don't put the spotlight on most of the NPCs at all, so we can't really see their facial expressions.

@@nanno8024 90 wishes is maximum for a five star to come, and since it comes early if you’re lucky. 5050 is if you win the five star on the limited banner or u lose it to the ones on the standard banner

@@kellyjohana516 Because it's usually done badly. It has to make sense within the character's flawed worldview and its evolution (or downward spiral), as well as what they want. It can't be pulled out of nowhere for shock value. Doing things for shock value is crap writing. Generally speaking, tho, making the audience ask themselves "but would they do this" aka "who are they actually?" is part of the key to a good story, Every scene should bring conflict that makes the readers 8and the character, though not explicitly) ask themselves "who is this character", because that's sign of a good inner conflict. That is, the "internal pieces" of the characters (so to speak, though there's neuroscience basis for that expression to have actual truuth in it, and I'm not talking about mental illness) that want different things, have different "control theories", and fight for which direction the person should go. Stories are also about who the characters are as people, how they change to reach what they want, how what they want changes; if the answer is certain, then there's much less of a story to tell.

Ironically enough, Genshin story quests tend to be a little boring precisely because they entirely ignore this piece of advice.

I usually play with the Japanese VA but since I got Miko I'm playing through the Enkanomiya event with the English VA, her voice is so mesmerising! It's one of my favourites in whole Genshin so far and kinda the reason I fell in love with the character.

this was a really creative way of making a character demo tho it's like a little story that hints at the character's personality and abilities. kinda suits yae miko since she has a publishing house

the way she walk, the way she talk- man i am head over heels to her. guuji yae please come home to me 🙇🏽‍♂️
