If WoR ever got a commander mode like Battle cry does that would be amazing with their realistic maps, but Battle cry has those randomized maps that keep things spicy. Both games could really work to compliment each other at this point.

Y’know what would be really cool for this game? A solid modding community following release. I can already picture a mod about the Franco-Prussian war or other mid 19th century conflicts

Don’t think this game can expect release for another several years. American Revolutionary War would be the most feasible mod, but we can only hope and wait.

I'm ready to wait for the 3 hours of waiting for character customization files to start loading

I'm quite excited about this, as long as they do it right, which I think they will.

This will make the game more of an subversive game then what it was, what I mean is it makes your personality pop out into the game with the customizations of the uniform which I love

These are some of the best games. One thing I would like to see tho is one made for the French and Indian War and Revolutionary War eras. I think some of those battle would have some great action in them. The British lines standing against the French lines and Indians attacking in wild melee combat. Seiging large stone or wooden forts, All out hand to hand with tomahawk's and muskets. Would make for a great content.

they should add the ability to fly around the map as a spectator after you've died with no reinforcements

I believe they need more campaigns, like more western theatre representation.

Yeah this game is set in the Maryland campaign I don't think their team is big enough to do a whole other campaign wod be cool tho seige of Vicksburg would be cool or show the tyrant sherman fire and sword campaign in alabama

🤔 kinda makes me curious about the uniquely uniformed regiments ie the Louisiana tigers or the one Italian federal regiment which name escapes me. Gonna have different customization categories for the different units? Or will it be a mix of uniforms/gear for everybody? Either way though as a CSA regiment member this is awesome!

I suspect it’s for the server owners, say as they want to customize all of the CSA or the union regiments to anything they would like it to be

Can you do one for the confederate troops also the different troops, n.c.o and officer etc.

I've seen so many War of Rights videos that I just assumed it was already released, lol. I'd have probably grabbed it if my Internet was good enough for online multiplayer.

I've said this several times, THIS Is the future of reenactments, or should be in the sense that current ones don't go away, just that actors could do it much cheaper, and by the 10s of thousands of them joining in!. Lol

the entire game is based on the campaigns of 1862 so unless they decide to switch time frames no. 20th maine wasnt just at gettysburg, y’know

​@@polignac Oh yeah, I realise that, but the Battle of Gettysburg is about the only battle I know of that the 20th Maine was present at :P which was why I remarked it. I wasn't aware that War of Rights is set mainly during the 1862 campaigns :)

@@Locahaskatexu they surprisingly have alot of campaigns for 1862, antietam, harpers ferry (which is mainly hypothetical) and south mountain

I just see BCof and WOR are at war with each other

You absolutely do not need a mic to play on a public server with randoms. In an organized regiment they would most likely require it but a mic is not mandatory for a private.

If you look at the WoR homepage, customization is mentioned there since 2015 and was always a goal. And with the technical advantage the last months, its now possible (same with higher server population).

@@Hinkel84 I known that but bcof is getting a lot done a lot quicker. I love both of these games and want to see both succeed. I’m just saying bcof seems to be motivating you guys to work harder, it’s a good thing.

BCof is also made in unity witch is a lot easier to develop a game in the cry engine and the fact that it's a hold fast clone helps a little to

It is wouldn't be out of the question. There were black confederate soldiers but if it was a customization option the numbers would probably be skewed out of portion in comparison to the guys who fought. This game has certainly strived to be accurate so have to wait and see. They haven't added any USCT units yet to my knowledge due to the time period.

As far as USCT go, it would be cool at least to be able to customize the 54th Massachusetts. They had a fairly prominent role in 1863. Fighting in Battle of Grimball's Landing, Battle of Fort Wagner and as a rear guards in Battle of Olustee.

New maps would have been MUCH nicer though

Hate the name of the game though... "war of rights" puts forth the summation that it was a war about rights... it was a war about rebellion over slavery... thats it... the right to own slaves. Not a war of rights in general... but I do like the look of the game so far.

The secession was also about the states Rights to govern themselves. The states Rights to make their laws lead to secession and lead the the War. Which is why one of the nicknames of the Civil War is The War of Rights. You could go ask one of the devs yourself. they're pretty knowledgeable about Civil War history.

@@misterdanny8644 No, no... no. Go read the actual articles of secession, go read the cornerstone speech by the vice president of the confederacy, it was made abundantly clear why they were seceding and starting that war. you are just repeating whitewashed easily debunked bull .

If what I said is "easily debunked bull" then why don't you easily debunk what I said and show me how it's bull? I never said that secession was not about Slavery. I said that Slavery was not the only factor for secession.

@@misterdanny8644 You know how you can easily find out that it was bullshit that it was about states rights? Before Secession they passed the Fugitive slave act, allowing southern slave catchers to illegally enter, illegally detain someone in the north, and then transport them across states lines bypassing northern courts and Northern laws. This was passed by them, the only reason "states rights" apply is, they wanted the states right to keep slaves, there was no argument about Individual rights to govern themselves because they clearly didn't give a crap when they passed that law. You are again, repeating easily debunked bullshit, it was NEVER ABOUT STATES RIGHTS IT WAS ABOUT SLAVERY END OF CONVERSATION.
