Great content! Your videos are not only educational, but also inspiring! One tip for PS: I'd convert each one of the images (the girl, the corgi, the cabins) into smart objects, and I'd do the editing inside the smart object (remove background, adjust color balance, etc.); and the smart objects are better when scaling those layers, because you won't lose quality.

I am really glad YT suggested your videos to me. I have been wanting to create a children’s book to memorialize the stories that my Dad used to make up and tell me as a kid. He passed away recently, but I want to be able to pass on the stories to my children one day. I’m a horrible artist though so that was something that always held me back. But now with Midjourney and this consistent character thing I actually think I could create them. I also have some photoshop skills, but there is a lot I really don’t know and I get stuck on making things look more realistic like how you do with the shadows and light. I would really love that photoshop workshop you talked about so please keep me updated on that. Thank you!

Photoshop tip: Learn about "Select subject" and "Select and mask." Play with the various mask settings. As long as your characters or other subjects have a fair contrast from the background, then you'll get great results this way. Your book is a wonderful idea and I'm sure your dad is proud of you for even thinking about it. Take it slow and enjoy the journey.

Awesome video bro! So far, the best available on YT for consistent character creation using the latest MJ upgrades, IMHO. One really important detail I think you left out was 4:50 Please let us know what program you used to achieve your Infinite Zoom. I've watched 50 "how- to" videos, but most are either a bit choppy or overly complicated. Yours looks very nice. 👁️👍

All the tips you shared here about adding shadows, incorporating the background lighting into the character, splicing characters together, deleting backgrounds, even creating them as Smart Objects and the prompts used, would all be appreciated if you included it in your future MJ & PS course! I am eager to start my children’s books as well!

Great video- I’ve been trying for a while to get consistent characters and thought what would be easy and simple turned into a whole exercise of education. Lessons learned but a loss of time

For the shadows, I just duplicate the subject, play with the levels to turn this duplicate black, then I transform it by squishing it down, I add a Gaussian blur and place it under the main subject.

It’s been a long time since I’ve messed around with photo shop but I currently use procreate. Thank you for the helpful information, I’m recently just getting back into re-learning about AI programs. For now I’m starting ebooks, and eventually I plan to learn how to build bots in my journey. I already created the ebook cover that I’m satisfied with, using a real photo of mine, but I’m wanting the same comic style of the cover through out the book.

Happy my algorithm brought me to this video. This was an easy like and subscribe. Also bought the download. Keep the videos coming. "Pause"

Here's a little tip, add more weight to "different angles" by adding "::2" behind it.... So the prompt would be: a cute girl with black short curly hair, different angles::2, character sheet, in the style of childrens book illustration --ar 16:9 --repeat 3
