Hello, can the be done with the Pixar style characters? I’m having a hard time duplicating the same characters in different poses and expressions. I’ve followed your other videos on it but Midjourney’s responses still make major changes to my characters as if it was an original prompt

I have created character consistency with Pixar style characters in another one of my videos (the character sheet method) which you may have seen. Have you tried the new CREF (character reference) parameter in Midjourney? As that can help keep consistency. I hope that helps.

Hey, thanks for the video. Two questions if you don't mind. 1. If I use my face, can I upload a few different ones so it has a better idea of what I look like vs just one photo? 2. When I've tried it, instead of using MY hair, it uses the hair of the photo I'm swapping my face into. Is there a prompt that would help that? Much appreciated!

Hi, great question. I haven't tried using multiple photos, I'll have to look into that. Unfortunately I think the app just gets the data from the face and not the hair....but you could use the 'vary region' tool to select the hair of your character and then prompt in the type of hair you want. Thank you for the very impressive video. I have one question. In your prompts, there was no reference to the "manface" you created. How does Midjourney know to use it?

It doesn't. The method he mentions here is completely random, a face swap just isn't enough to create consistent characters because Midjourney won't know to make the hair, age, height etc the same across each generation. So this isn't the most efficient way to do this.

@babylonballer1421 is correct, it's not the most efficient method. But it's great for a 'tweak' when a character is almost what you wanted but not quite. Then the faceswap is all you need to fix it to get it just right. We have several other methods taught here for character consistency as there are different methods that suit different purposes. Plus some people prefer some methods over others. We teach using LensGo, if you want to do it with your own drawings. We teach the Pan and VR method. There is the character reference method that Midjourney released recently. There are other methods we also share. And we will be sharing more methods outside of Midjourney also soon, so you have a full toolbox of methods to use for different purposes.

Do you know if and how it's possible to use InsightFace Swap with the Midjourney Alpha interface? I know you can set a face as a character reference in Alpha but in all the tests I've done it was nowhere near as good as Insight swap. I go back to the old discord interface to use it now but it'd be great if there were some way to use it directly in Alpha.

Good question, I don't think there's a way to use it on the Alpha website at the moment...hopefully in time they will implement it.

Can this faceswap tool do img2img face swaps? Can I upload an image from another platform rather than create one midjourney, then use the uploaded image to be the face I want to swap onto another body?
