Chara has the strongest "determination" which in Undertale basically makes you all-powerful via immortality. If you do the bad route, they eventually get stronger than your determination by feeding off of your monster-ending spree, permanently locking you out of the good ending and destroying the world (and remaking it) in the bad ending, which not even the player can do by themselves. And btw, Chara doesn't kill a single enemy in the bad route, they just get so determined watching you destroy the monsters that they override your control while you are at max level from killing a ton of them.

Level of violence is based off on how close you can bring yourself to hurt others. In this case, Roland is slightly lower than Chara, since he has a care for certain others. Sure, anyone who isn’t one of his loved ones gets the boot, but still he has a limit. Unlike the fandom interpretation of Chara who has no moral compass and will erase anything they wish, if they had the power. And that’s the biggest gap. Power. Roland has abno pages, a kickass sword, E.g.o, and other random bullshit. Chara has a knife. Not to mention that both of their goals are equally important to them, so “determination” is evenly matched. Now, if Chara got her eyeballs blasted by light or got some abnos to extract from, she may have a chance, but in the meantime, Roland kills this child and turns her into a headlamp. Yes, I do have better things to do. I just won’t do them.
