Ya, I find most games using this up are very cheap. Every corner cut lol Must be more profitable for the publishers to just put out half baked product and slap a 40k skin rather than actually make a quality game, I get it.

Idk, after reading Godblight, was expecting Mortarion to be represented as this stoic and menacing monster with an statuesque figure, what made him fearsome in the books is literally how mighty he is and so sure of victory, his presence alone exuded overwhelming power, Guilliman, with the Emperor's sword may I add, was felled by Mortarion in what in all honesty felt like a very one sided fight, when facing Mortarion one should feel the most intense dread as now you stand your ground against decay incarnate... Not a moustache twirling single movie marvel villain.

Honestly, got to his fight earlier than the game expected me to (I know because I got an achievement for finishing the game early) and it was a terrifying fight, I had the feeling that Mortarion himself couldnt be beat, thus why you are meant to focus on getting Draigo to the roots.

@@Erzkreutz You can argue that Draigo IS a parody. In any other setting, a being of that kind of power level would be a main character, the chosen one, the person you rely on to save the galaxy. And what happens to him? Thrown into the warp in an endless fight that doesn't matter. He can kill a million greater daemons daily if he wants it, but the daemons will reform. He can't return to realspace where fighting actually *matters.* I also think Draigo surviving long enough against Mortarion is kinda silly. But I have no problem with the character overall.

1. He and the entire Death Guard were tricked by Typhus who has made arrangments with Erebus to trap the entire legion in the Garden of Nurgle. 2. He only gave himself to Nurgle after he had exhausted all possible options, including trying to kill his sons to end their suffering, only for Nurgle to bring them back to life every time. 3. He's been made a slave three times now: first when he landed on Barbarus as a child, second when the Emperor forced him to serve him and now a third to Nurgle. 4. He spends every waking moment plotting to escape Nurgle's grasp (as futile as it is) but until then he has zero choice but to do as he's told. 5. Fuck Erebus.

Sad that Morty who has the potential to perhaps be the most interesting chaos guy has become a mustache twirling villain bc chaos. Would've been cooler to see it be some other Nurgle follower only for Morty to disrupt the plan somehow by either playing the anti-hero or because he hates pyskers or something like that. Just feel like they're wasting the potential of a character is all. Edit (this is where i write an essay about my built up frustration with the wasted potential of chaos in warhmmaer): This applies to like 99.99% of chaos "characters" from all warhammer. It just sucks that what could be great characters get turned into mindless monsters with lots of spikes who do evil things because they can, they're evil to just be evil and its doing a disservice to the infinite potential of the IP. I get they're not the good guys, but it doesn't mean they can't have character while being bad. Also i think warhammer would improve if we could get away from "oh x does this because he's chaos god tells him to" like sure that should be the case for some characters but the chaos characters would benefit from doing things because they want to or for their own gain, not just because they're told to. Its just weird that these cool characters are just like most people working their IRL job. This isn't like Anakin turning into Vader or Davy Jones becoming the way they are for good and understanding reasons. Its to the point you could replace most of the chaos characters with literally random suped-up other chaos characters and just forgo the primarch part and why they turned to chaos. They really may as well not have names or be anyone thats how bad the writing usually is. All i ask is for some character, not for them to be good or anything, like Valkia from warhammer fantasy is sort of alluded to to not be impressed that Khrone turned her into a 20 foot tall flaming red with horns and claws and stuff just because he thats what he thinks is beautiful. Thats a cool plot point and it would be interesting if she went and perhaps hunted sorcerers who could turn her back the way she was, while still serving Khorne. Another example is that GW sort of play with the idea that Archeon wants to end the world because he hates all gods, be they chaos or regular and he's not devoted to pushing the chaos agenda, he's much more focused on his own agenda and is using chaos more as a tool than anything else. See how those are interesting and have room for development? The character literally doesn't change past actually wanting something, combine that with having a decent reason for turning to Chaos and boom you have what is known as a character. At this rate my only solution is to start writing stories so that i can get hired at GW bc my lord are they dropping the ball with literally everything that isn't a human or non-traitor primarch, everyone else sort of got shafted except some of the necron stuff was cool. Obviously the person who comes up with the characters isn't the one who writes them bc we have such amazing characters who are just completely wasted.

I'm half-convinced that he just let this plan fail as a means to spite Nurgle since he has an obscenely massive army compared to any other Daeman Primarch but deliberately chose not to make use of it and only sent in just enough fanatical fodder to make it look like he was putting in any effort to win. It would explain the comically hammy and showy cartoon villain behavior.

@@CoolCraftCool Well, Magus did destroyed the project to stabilize Wolf geneseeds for making new Wolf chapters and recently turn the entire Fenris system into a corner of of the Warp before driven back. The Fenrisians are no more. Without Primarch reinforment , the wolves would be gone.

@@huntermad5668 Retconed I fear the space wolves were still over 700 (Better than just about any chapter after the Rift opens Excluding Templars and the Ultras themselves) when Guilliman visited and the planet was fine lots of people just wondering around thats from Wolftime Dawn of Fire book3 from 2021 I think Fenris system is not as hard hit as originaly suggested.
