Most are hired to anybody with a few quid and then let loose after a brief chat about controls, no docking practice or boatmanship. The people that own their boats stay well clear of hired boats. Now I'm not saying the hirers are bad people, just that their let loose in a vehicle that has a mind of its own. I gave up on my boat after 15 years because she kept making me go to the bank.

I often take two weeks on the broads. Thankfully I'm retired and never have to go in high season, I book for just after the schools reopen. High season must be a complete nightmare with double and trip stacking at night. 😖😵‍💫

Oh dear not good ropes in the water. Quickest way to curtail your holiday when that gets wrapped around the prop. So easy to do as you dont notice going along. We always shout at boats to draw their attention to the rope in the water. Another interesting video.

it Was quite busy , but ive seen it worse lol , that was quite dangerous having that rope dangling in the water , Oooer , it was nice to see some woodies again .

We had a fantastic week in august there’s nothing better for total relaxation. Everyone so friendly

Yes me too. It’s wonderful to watch but it’s rare. The wherries do it too. Very skillful. ⛵️⛵️

No. Watching this has firmly impressed upon us to never go on a hire boat on the Broads.

You would think that with all the money Broads Tours make they could manage a rope on each side at the back of the day boat . thanks for mayhem wife says i,m cruel but sometimes you just have to wonder what are they thinking .
