There are sounds you've might have never heard of, most are unused sounds that are still in the game & others are your chao is sick some type of way (its very rare for a chao to get sick, i recommend looking up chao illnesses and how chao react to them); there are some that could have been in the base game but where removed for their own reasons, like 1:08 which is just unused sobbing sound and chao have two sobbing animations (sitting & standing) and might have gotten annoying plus its very annoying in the modded versions so understand why its unused/ removed. I love Chao and i wish it would return in new games with some old sounds and some new ones.

Some are unused as they're imported from the Dreamcast. Those sounds are only heard in earlier renditions of the Chao Garden in SA1

Throwing, stepping on or hitting them in SA1/2 brings you one step closer to hell...

So the sound must be an unused sound of them sobbing (not crying yet) it gets use in mods Alot, they might have removed it because how loud it really is or its annoying to hear if one chao gets unintentionally hit. Edit: On review I was wrong the sound is the lost chao sound that I never heard. Sorry.
