My only One question is that l was just wondering if you could tell me what that finishing sanding wheel piece was called that you used for tidying and smoothing up the edges of your work called.

Dude this is amazing I have one question tho as I’m still an apprentice , are you heating the end of your flat tool to push and smooth out the channels when setting your gems in the channel ? Btw you earned yourself a subscriber and a like dude , thanks

He was just gravering a bright cut lip into the metal. None of the tools are heated or annealed realistically when working with diamonds, only with softer stones you anneal your tools. This is just hammering, bright cutting, and then polishing, its not a bezel so there's no real need for burnishing. Although this is the old school way of setting where you just bur out the sides instead of cutting actual seats.

Its a vibrating tool used to press the metal over the stones.

The equipment used in this video is a GRS Gravermax with a 2.25mm square graver as the pressing tool... running at approximately 0.5bar and 500 RPM.

@@bodhisatwasoni he's just using a hammer handpiece. You can get some cheaper sets for like $5-600 with a motor

Looks like this I's old school where you just crisscross bur and then hammer it over In the pocket, no real seats. Much faster but makes a ring with a shorter life span.
